Yes, and yes.

Illegal / Redundant Things
- Power Familiar and Blood of Tizz are both arcane items, so you need to pick one (IMO power familiar for offense boost or dispel scroll for defense boost)
- Fury of the Blood God can't be taken with any other magic items (though it can be paired with other gifts where points allow), so can't take with aethersword
- Aethersword cannot be combined with an ahw, so the ahw is wasted points

Missing Things
- Musicians (in every unit that can take them)
- BSB (silly not to run above 1500 points, even for WoC)
- Halberds on one warrior unit (not mandatory but if you haven't built these models, building half with halberds will serve you well in the long run)
- Ward save for your level 4 (lodestone should likely be a talisman of endurance or preservation, MR is not that useful)
- 2x 5 warhounds

If you care to see what this looks like in action ...
Spoiler:
Sorcerer Lord - MoT, level 4, biting blade, charmed shield, talisman of endurance, power familiar = 355
Exalted Hero - MoK, BSB, talisman of preservation, halberd = 199

18 Warriors - MoT, standard of discipline, full command, shields = 353
18 Warriors - MoT, full command, halberds = 338
40 Marauders - MoK, full command, great weapons = 250
5 Warhounds = 30
5 warhounds = 30

4 Ogres - MoK, musician, great weapons, chaos armor = 240

Hellcannon = 205
--------
2000

Now this could be made stronger in various ways, but for now it takes your models and gets them on the table. The only modeling-related changes I've suggested is the shields to halberds swap, dropping the ogre banner for another great weapon dude, changing one of your exalted's weapons into a banner pole, and giving your sorcerer a shield. If your sorcerer model doesn't have a shield and would look weird with one on its back / hip, then those 5 points could be an ironcurse icon for the BSB instead.

Boss just summed it up. I would only add in the rapturous standard it's so good and so cheap I would suggest making room to give the tz warriors that.

Massive thank you to Boss Salvage! Surprised anyone had the patience to read over my list, let alone improve it

Can't believe I left out a BSB Nothing modeled yet so WYSIWYG is still possible. Unfortunately that means I have to track down 19 halberds and the knight ones sell out almost as fast as plastic meltas.

Speaking of knights, would they be a better option instead of the ogres? I've heard they perform better in lower point games.

Knights may do better for you.

The gw halberd set is actually not half bad. They look a little derpy when not on warriors but when they are attached they look quite cool.
Also don't forget the banner bearer and musician don't need to have it modeled on since the halberd arm is the same arm as the standard and instrument.

Hey there,

I love seeing Chaos Ogres. I made six out of the LotR Ogres and love them. That being said, I find Knights work much better

As far as marks for Ogres, the Mark of Nurgle is more helpful IMO. Making a WS4 enemy WS3 lets your Ogres hit more often. It'll also help with small arms fire coming your way. Put a unit of Warhounds in front of them and it's a minus three to hit them. As Boss said, if you can take a Muso, you defo should. (Boss really did sum up most of your issuses)

Cheers

Hate to bump an old topic but now that I'm around to building all the models I came across one thing.

Standard of discipline + full command - Does this mean I have to put 2 standard wielding models in the unit?

How do I differentiate between the 2 for my opponent or is that unnecessary?

The standard of disc is only the standard that your command are using, its not two seperate models, just the one standard bearer need be modelled
