I wanted some feedback on the figures seen here. I am trying to decide whether or not to enter a couple of upcoming competitions.

All of the minis have great detailed painting. However i find them all rather cartoon-ish. Its hard to explain wether its due to the subtle pastel colours or the lighting of the minis for the photo. But something just doesnt make them seem 100% to me.

They look great! Definitely enter them. The paint jobs are all outstanding, something seems odd about the pose on the first guy, but the rest all are outstanding.

I agree with this statement, but I really like the style you are using. IDK if I would say they look cartoonish, they look more like comic book illustrations to me. A little outside of the normal realm, but it makes for some really nice looking minis.

Enter.

Thanks, everyone. The above minis wouldn't be the ones I enter, those are for gaming. I'd have to paint up some stuff for competition. It's been a really long time since I did that. Like high school, I think.

I'm not sure if they look cartoonish in real life or not. Generally, my style tends toward realistic. Maybe these are not. I'm a terrible judge of my own stuff.

Anyway, thanks again!
