Subject: Necrons Paint Scheme- Bouncing some ideas

I plan on starting Necrons as my first army, and I'm looking for a nice colour scheme for them.
I'm basically wanting something that's a nice striking scheme, I don't mind spending a bit of time learning new techniques for characters and vehicles, I want this army to look very nice.
Here's what I've come up with so far.
I'm curious to know some other opinions and also suggestions on how to finish this scheme, or maybe try another one entirely.
So here's what I'd like to know.
A. Do you like this scheme in general (turquoise and bone)
B. For the ball joints etc between the armor plates, what would be better; Silver, or Black, highlighted grey? Or possibly gold?
C. What colour should the weapon be, and the gauss effects/eyes/etc? I was personally thinking black highlighted grey for the weapon, using turquoise for the gauss/eyes/etc, however I also liked the idea of using orange?
D. Are the turquoise and bone colours used in the 'right' areas of the model? Does this look like a right balance, should there be more/less turquoise, should the head be a different colour etc etc
E. How would this scheme translate to vehicles etc? I was thinking of maybe trying a 'marbled' effect on the bone for vehicles etc but have no idea how to do this, or if this would even work
And just generally, what are any thoughts or opinions so far?
I know each army and it's scheme is primarily the owner's choice and perogative, but I'm really keen on making this a generally pleasing to the eye army, something that could win an Armies on Display type competition.
Thanks for any and all contributions!

A: Yes! they look great together
B: Silver would tie the colours nicely together.
C: Turquoise/Light blue would be my choice for the gauss effects. Orange could work very well, but you would have a devilish job shading it properly...
D: I think you have enough turquoise as it is... more would make it the dominating colour and it is best used as a complimentary colour
E: Try searching google for 'Off white marble', the image search brings up some good patterns that you could try to replicate If you used this as the 'main' colour of your vehicles, and picked out some spots in turquoise I think you could get a very striking affect.
Generally, i really like what you have so far. It's very Tomb Kings but if you get the metallic parts right, there's no reason that your scheme shouldn't look appropriate in a sci-fi seting Add a brownish shade to the bone coloured areas though, it may not be realistic but it will help add texture to your painting

Oh, those are really nice colors! Kinda remind me of Pre-Heresy World Eater colors.
As the above mentioned, boltgun metal/silver joints would be a good choice, toned down of course. I would have to see the marble on the monolith before I make judgement, so just try it and see how it plays out.

Thanks for the responses so far!
Anyone else have any input?
Last night I worked some more on it, and put down the silver, I planned on using Boltgun Metal but I had misplaced my pot, so instead used Chainmail, followed by a Badab Black wash.
I also painted the eyes and the tubing on the weapon with Turquoise, the pic I have is a bit too dark to see, I'll take a better one soon and throw it up here

Have you considered a cobalt colour for the joints? A bright, silvery blue wold look cool.

I think right now it has too much of a "Star Wars stormtrooper"-y vibe to it. I'd go with something not black for the ball joints. I think Scipio's suggestion is a great one, actually.

I like it! Looks leaps and bounds better than my 'crons.
I agree with something other than black for ball joint not being black, Silver I think would look really nice and tie it up nicely.
Gauss effects I vote on a very light or bright Blue. These strike me as from an icy Tomb world which is really neat.

I've seen some, what I can only describe as "Ceramic" Necrons and TBH they looked fabulous. It's a hard thing to pull off but if well done you'll have a killer army.
If you experiment a bit I think you will find a nice look. Try some different washes, maybe a Paynes Grey Wash (look up the Painting Articles section).

MYAH!
That ceramic one was nice, but I think there has to be pictures somewhere of a good way to get the effect done also. I have some on my computer of a guy that did his tomb kings sphinx with marble as the body. I could upload it for ya?

This is an updated pic, with the silver filled in, and also some turquoise and grey highlighting on the weapon.. Thoughts? This looks incredible...
I actually considered using purple instead of turquoise for some time at one point..

I think your colour scheme looks like the colour scheme in the game "PORTAL". I would extreme highlight the Miniature with Pure White on the Cream panels alternatively get some Vallejo dead white, and Vallejo Gloss varnish and mix them together with a spot of water and flow aid and it will paint on a beautiful effect of white gloss plastic. Then redo all the turquoise pieces again. It will look something like this then... See the plane test marine below, next to my Ferrus Manus, his pauldrons were done with the Black, Gloss varnish, water and flow improver. The reason for water and flow improver is that it stops you leaving brush marks which ruins the smooth effect. Also do it in batches so that you will give it several light coats rather than one big thick one.
