Just casually reading thru he big rule book and noticed one little clause in he recouping rules pg. 46.

If a unit has failed a morale test and is falling back they cannot attempt a regrouping leadership test at below %50 strength. So essentially failing a ld test at below 50% means your unit is falling back 2D6 every turn until they run off a board edge.

Never seen this implemented at my local store.

Is this a correct interpretation of said rules? And yes I know hey can still shoot or run, why you would want them to run off the edge quicker I have no idea.

It's correct - but ATSKNF (most marines have this) allows you to regroup under 25% so if you mostly play marines...

That is absolutely correct. I'm not sure why your store isn't using that rule, it's a really important one.

There are two ways (that I can think of) to get the unit to regroup. The first is if the unit has ATSKNF, which almost every loyalist SM has. The second is to get the unit to gain fearless (run into synapse range or Avatar bubble or something like that), which makes them automatically regroup.

I do mostly play marines and locally most people play GK but i have never seen the eldar or IG guys play this way, but then again there are a lot of shennanegins going on I think.

I guess this is where "get back in the fight" really shines.

They even let you regroup under 50% too! (always regroup if not within 6" of an enemy model)

I meant 50% but suck at typing. Oops.

You can still shepherd marines off the table (as they still cannot test to regroup if enemy models are within 6", ATSKNF or not).

They will still have to fall back. Try to use a resilient unit to do this, as otherwise they will be shot and probably assaulted in the SM turn.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Units falling back are not allowed to launch an assault.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
