What is your favorite GW 40k model that you have painted? I.E. what model was the most fun to paint? Why?

I've recently got into improving my painting skills and am looking to buy some models that are fun to paint. I'm leaning towards the Daemon Prince right now.

The Imperial Guard Commander. (The one with the power sword and holstered pistol.)

It was the first model I ever painted, and hands down the most fun I've had doing it. (In point of fact, it was the only time I ever enjoyed the practice at all.) As a side note, this picture isn't mine, it's just a pic from the Dakka gallery of the fig I was talking about.

Mine is currently moonlighting as the leader of my Necromunda gang.

I don't have a specific model, but model types. The larger the better. I hate having such a small amout of room to work with or even see on standard marine sized stuff.

I dkn't really know. I don't find the painting fun unless I am dojng it. And then my brother speaks and ruins the day...

If I had to choose it would probably be the Draigo. Up untill then everything, even characters, were on a conveyor belt. He got highlights!

I think it's a tie between the Ork Big Mek and my converted Battlewagon (built by strapping on orky bits to a Land Raider). The Big Mek is just so full of detail and tiny bits that you'd hardly notice, and the Battlewagon just always makes me smile.

This badboy right here is the most fun I've had painting a GW model in a long time. His expression and pose are just fantastic. Although good luck getting one, being limited release and all.

Additionally, the Death Korps Quartermaster definitely was a fun model to paint, one of my favourite models ever, probably my favourite model GW's ever produced.

If we go outside GW, I've recently fallen in love with Rackham's minis. They're just so beautiful. Rackham's Wolfen Prowler is my first mini by them, but I can't help but look forward to painting more. I have a Shurat the Warlord primed and just waiting for the right time to start.

Working with orks is always a blast, the skin is a blast to highlight, you can work with tons of colors and they're usually goofy and fun to work with.

Lovely figure to paint, and one I'll be happy to do so again. My middle son who just took up these Tyranids as his own, would like a Mawloc at some point, so yep, looking forward to it.
