If my lord commisar has camo cloaks, and joins my 30man blobs of guardsmen, do they a gain stealth to?

The Rulebook doesn't have the little * next to Stealth signifying it's lost when joining a unit, so I assume the unit may gain stealth.
That or only the commissar gets the +1 to cover and the rest of the squad is left to rot.

Am curious, so will watch and wait.

From GW's rulebook FAQ:

Q: If only some of the models in a unit have the Stealth
special rule, does the whole unit benefit from the +1
cover save? (p76)
A: Yes. In effect the ones with the Stealth special rule
ensure their colleagues also find good places to hide.

This is correct, while the unit does not gain the stealth USR, they gain the effects of the stealth USR whilst the lord commissar that has a camo cloak remains attached to the unit.

The flaw in the first part of this is two-fold; the first is that the rules tell us USRs do not transfer from unit to IC or visa versa. The second is that where concept true then joining a relentless IC to a unit would make the unit relentless(same goes for FNP, and all other such)

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
