I was working to finish my wraiths today when I got bored with it and decided to try something fun. I wanted some reanimation protocol markers, messed around with a few ideas and this is what I came up with. It is really just a display army so I will only need a few of them, but if I do use it, it will be cool to have markers that fit with the scheme of my army. figured I would just put dice next to it to let me know how many rolls I need to make. for the ever-living markers I will add the necron symbol to the forehead so they can be told apart. overall I liked the way it came out and it was fun to do something different.

Nice. What's it made from? I'd suggest you use that as a master to cast multiples from, but that would probably ruin your paintjob :(

Thanks. It is made out of styrene sheet. I was going to make a mold of it but I got it built and just had to see what it looked like painted. I do have a template so I will make another one then make a mold from that one for the rest.

I imagine a good coat of varnish would be sufficient to protect the piece for use as a master, especially for a single-piece mold, but if you're willing to make another then the risk is completely negated. Your call.

Well I just decided to go and cut them out and make them. I did not have the supplies I needed to make a mold, it ended up just bieng faster (and cheaper) to just cut them out by hand. It only took me about an hour and a half to get this far, just have to cut out the bases and that will take no time at all.

Got them all assembled a couple of days ago, just have not had the chance to get the pic up. Just need to base, prime and paint.

Nice work. Looks like they could fit on one of the bike bases too, if you wanted to save a little bit of time.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Very cool indeed

Only thing I would suggest is having roll number counters around the outside of the skull, so you can just put a marker on the right number than relying in a dice?

Just a thought though, as I really like the design and basing you have now

you could also magnetize the rune on the forehead and turn it to mark # of rolls.

Been messing around with a few ideas and decided I will cut out some smaller styrene discs then put numbers on them. I will work on a couple this weekend to see how it looks and post some pics.
