I have a 2500 point Elven WOTR army and I have gathered that i would like to form an allegiance. In the Two Towers, elves ally with the Kingdom of Rohan so i thought they would a suitable choice. I need 500pts and i want it to include Theoden, but i don't know what else to put in it!! Please give some suggestions, thanks

I'm currently working on a Rohan army.... with Theoden king on a horse.

I have 13 foot soldiers
6 riders
Eomer marshal of the riddermark
and Gamling Captain of Rohan (not on a horse)

so 374pt there
I have Theoden and Eomer because they where given but there are a couple of interesting choises hero wise

Which do you think are the best units in the Rohan army list?

I would not say best, but there is nothing wrong with having a bunch of riders and warrior, especially with speers to put behind Theoden. Hama is a pretty obvious one to add to Theoden one might say.
Gamling has decent stats plus if he has Royal Standart of Rohan is can be quite valuable in the team.
I myself am thinking of adding a bunch more warriors and banner carrier.

I like the Warriors and Riders because they are pretty cheap to put in the team.

What where you thinking of yourself?

I wasnt sure whether to go with a completely mounted army, but the foot soldiers sound like a good addition. Having Gamling was definitely a thought of mine, with the Royal Standard, but I had not thought of Hama, I shall take that into account.

Yeah I fancied a mounted army too, but I was afraid of the bow count if I would want to expend my army, that's I suppose why I wanted some warriors too.
I'll be looking forward to see what decision you will make!
