As the title says, I've settled on my new Tyranid list, and I want to invest in some nice Resin bases for them to sit on, so here are some links to the ones I like, and if you lovely wibbly peoples could tell me which you prefer it'd be much appreciated ^_^

The following links are from Secret Weapon Miniatures.

Alien Invasion: http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=79_30_68

Steel Invasion: http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=79_30_77

Urban Invasion: http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=79_30_62

Blasted Wetlands: http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=79_30_59

And Voodooworx'...

Either alien invasion or blasted wetlands. I voted alien invasion though, because they seem more unique and fitting for a nid horde.

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

Thanks for the vote, and those two were in my top three lols. I'm so indecisive when it comes to this stuff :/

Blasted wetlands, simply because if you use the alien bases your army will look too busy and everyone's eyes will get drawn to the bases rather than the models. You can use a mix of both if you use the alien bases on special models to help denote how dead they will make your enemies.

My main issue with the alien invasion bases is they should be painted the same colours as your model. Which makes it hard to tell where the model ends and the base begins.

Which is why I included the Steel Invasion & Urban Invasion options. But also, If I were to choose the Alien Invasion Bases, I would paint them flesh-like and semi slimey to represent the internal features of the Hive ships.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm slightly tempted to do the army on a mixture of Alien Invasion & Urban invasion bases, with the majority being the Urban ones, to play on the seeding of a planet by the Tyranids

Thoughts?
