Hi all.

I couldn't specifically find anything regarding this, so I was wondering if any of you might know.

Kharn's "Blessing of the Blood God" makes him immune to the effects of all psychic powers.
Doom, a far as I can tell, is a psychic power used against a unit that causes attacks against that unit to reroll failed to-wound rolls (I'm no Eldar expert, but that's how I've seen it).

The issue that came up is this: Can a unit including Kharn be doomed? If so, how are shooting attacks against said unit resolved, since the ones against Kharn wouldn't be able to be re-rolled but you also can't allocate wounds before you have an actual number of wounds to allocate.

Any thoughts?

Although not RAW, and is not a legal source, INAT says it best:

INAT FAQ wrote:CSM.48C.04 – Q: If Kharn is part of a unit that is affected by Eldar Doom, what happens?
A: As Kharn is not actually allocated any wounds until after all ‘to wound’ rolls are completed, in this case Doom does affect Kharn [clarification].

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

If Kharn is by himself, he cannot be doomed. If he is part of a squad, the entire squad can be doomed and all to-wound rolls can be re-rolled (INAT is RAW in this case).

I should have said, that INAT is not official, not "not RAW".

Kharn simply isn't effected. You can cast whatever power you like at him, it just does nothing.

Yes however, since the Wounds don't get allocated until after the re-roll, the wounds can still be re-rolled.

Right. But, you're not casting at him, you're casting it at the unit. The unit is effected.

Excellent point. In CC, Doom does nothing on the attacks you allocate against Khârn.
