Just went to a small RTT this past weekend so im going to do a quick Battle Rep to highlight what happen. My list constited of the following:

Heavy Support: Penitent Engine (2)
Troops: Battle Sister Squad (10)
Battle Sister Squad Flamer (x1); Multimelta (x1);
Sister Superior Combi-Meltagun (x1)
Rhino Searchlight
Troops: Battle Sister Squad (10)
Battle Sister Squad Flamer (x1); Multimelta (x1);
Sister Superior Combi-Meltagun (x1)
Rhino Searchlight
Game 1 VS CSM Sorry I don’t have the complete lists for these so im doing the best to remember
2 Princes w/wing w/ lash
2 Oblits (x3)
5 plague marines in Rhinos (x3)
10 Zerkers in Rhino
The game was KP standard deployment.
This was a tough battle the whole way through. I knew I had to drop the transports to pick up KPs as the plague marines would be a pain to take out with the TO 5. My opponent was smart with each time I popped his transports he would just hunker down inside of the craters and pick up the cover save.
By the end of turn 2 I was up 4 to 0. Unfortunately I made some serious mistakes against the oblits thinking that 2 dominion squads would be able to take out 2 oblits on a 1 and 1 basis. That was an epic fail due to some amazing Inv saves for my opponent and some really pitiful dice rolling on my part.
As turn 5 rolled around the game was 8 to 5 rolling to see if it went to rnd 6 as the game continued on in to 6 he picked up 3 KPs at the top of 6 to tie everything up in the bottom of 6 I was able to pick up 1 and win with a very small margin.
Sisters take the win 9 to 8
Game 2 VZ Drop Pod Vulcan
2 Venies in pods
2 Ironclads in bods
2 Reg Dreds in pods
Vulcan/ master of the forge and another squad in pod
2 Big Tac Squads
This game was a modified command and control with an objective placed in the center of board. I placed my objective in the center my deployment zone and my Opponent dropped his in the far right corner of the board. Deployment was dawn of war
I won the roll of and gave him first turn. He placed both tac squads one on his Objective and the other one was place on the other side of the board.
I placed Celestine 18inches away and didn’t attempt to steal.
Turn one he dropped his pods across the front of my deployment zone and the dreads stepped out with nothing to shoot at. I ran everything on at the bottom of one and thrashed a huge amount of his dread forces with my engines. They were able to clean off my objective and moved to take out the remaining pods in the area. With some heavy shooting that came from the dominion squads I was left unmolested for most of turns; 4, 5 and 6. By the end of Turn 4 Celestine had finally finished off the last of man of a tactical squad she followed up by starting to pound on Vulcans squad. Vulcan punched her lights out in the first round of combat she then stood up and finished him off. By the end of turn 6 I had cleaned off what was left of the remaining scoring unit that was on the objective with some back up fire power coming from a couple of engines and a dominion squad. I secured the two objectives that were placed closest to my board edge and won the match 2 to 0.
Sister win 2 to 0
Game 3 GK DCA list of cheese.
2 storm ravens
7 DCA (x2)
3 dreads
4 razorbacks with 3 acolytes
The mission was 5 objectives Spearhead. First off I lost the dice roll. Second when I did steal the Initiative I was forced to reroll it and got a 5. Next forgot to blow smoke on my scouters. Exorcist was weaponless at the top of turn 1 and the MM immolator was Weaponless also. By the end of turn 3 I had over half of my army back in my bag and I had killed 1 dreadnaught of his. I will say that I played this game entirely wrong starting from the point of even putting a single model on the board. I should have gone in total reserve and outflanked the Dominions. I think this would have been a much better play on my part. I conceded knowing that I would be tabled by turn 5 and there was no reason to continue
GK win 5-0
My Feelings about my list, I was faith starved and was leaning too heavily on hoping I would get good faith rolls. In all 3 of my games my initial faith I rolled was a 1. I do not like the 10 dominions build and really like the added fire power the other Immolators bring to the field when I have them in smaller squads. The Canoness squad was fun to run and did a lot of damage but it’s not something that I think I will be running again. I missed my DCAs and the CC threat that they bring. I was also running the small 10 squads of troops they are great if I would have had 4 in this list but I was trying something new. I’m sure I will be returning to my 20 man fearless block of sisters that have a lot more survivability. My next experiment is going to be 2 dominion squads with a 10 man seraphim squad and working Repentia’s into the list even if it’s just a small squad of them.

Nice job. It looks like the GK henchmen armies are a pretty tough matchup for the Sisters. You're the second person in a short period of time to get wiped by them.
How did the Penitents do in games 1 and 3? It sounded like they were pretty effective against the Salamanders, but I'm guessing the henchmen took care of them early.

Congrats. You played some tough customers with an otherwise "exotic" sisters list. Good to see them do well.
Shooty GK's is always a problem for any mech list to go up against (unless it's land raider spam). He had the tools to de-mech you and then kill off your infantry with assassins. Must've been a tough battle.

For some reason I really enjoy reading these sister battles. I keep wanting to make one but not sure what I should put in it. I have about 30 repentia that I've been using in the GK lists as assasins and I even have a single exorcist just cause I wanted the model. Just waiting till they come up with some nicer looking female models.... ya one can hope damn it.

Well played! unlucky match-up in the last game though :(
Whenever I play an objective based game against a really shooty army, I use my vehicles to make walls and then disembark my troops and hide behind them (or hide in the wreckage when they are blown-up). This frustrates a lot of the opponents strengths as he will be forced to either pick away at range at squads that can go to ground for 3+ cover saves, or try and get close enough for an assault with all the fun of assaulting into cover and rolling for difficult terrain that that brings. I will be the first to admit that this is not a great tactic, but it's the best way i've found to deal with armies like the one you played last :(

interesting list. How did the pentint engines play out in game 1 and 3?
I think its a good list, although I think that conclaves are overpowered along with the firepower and meltas that sisters can bring.

I think what caused my loss in Game 3 was just stupid mistakes. With losing the initial roll off I should have placed everything in reserve and out flanked the Dominions, the Exorcist could have rolled on and shot the Canoness could have faith powered the MM command squad and come in shooting. I lost so much fire power turn 1 I had nothing to even answer back. That was the biggest mistake of all. I knew the game was over by the end of turn 1. The reserve strategy would have given me more survivability to make the opponent choose what he was going to go after not just give him all the targets up front.
In Game 1 the PEs did really well taking out berserkers and a couple squads of plague marines and a couple rhinos. It also gave me time to fire the exorcist for 6 turn unmolested. As the opponent was really focused in on them I ended up losing 3 of the 4 but they absorbed an insane amount of plasma gun shots that would have really wrecked my sister squads. In game 3 they never saw any action I conceded before 1 squad had even come on the board and the other was just about to get wrecked by a DCA squad.
As for having problems with the GK builds I think this is the tougher one that Sisters have to deal with. Proper strategies and some good dice always help. Unfortunately I had neither going into game 3.

The build was very hard to use and became faith starved on more than one occasion. I ran it just to see how it would do and over all I had a lot of fun with it. I think this list would have done better with Uriah in it because it is so faith heavy. Might have to test that out now

I did a bunch of Builds in the Sisters of Battle Tactica you should check some of them out. I would proxy the whole army if that’s all that you have just to get the feeling of how it plays and learning the units.

That is a very sound tactic. I have used it more than once; the only thing it doesn’t work against is guard. LOL they just bring so many guns.

I have been around for a while. Most of the time I can tell the outcome of the game within a couple rounds of play. I lost this one on more than one mistake and I knew my opponent, we have played against each other multiple times and he’s a great player. 1 mistake I might have been able to pull it out I had 6 just setting up and he made me pay for each one.

Conclaves are a beat face unit. Everyone knows that and they are a unit that needs to be respected. With that said, dropping them in the backfield and making them slog across the field makes them disappear. I never had the chance to drop them in the back field. Once they got mobile it was Game over. I just look at them as another unit. Once they are gone all you have to do is clean up the Acolyte squads.

I wouldn't say that It just requires a different play style. I did fine in the first two games without them and in the third game I don't think it would have mattered if I had them or not. GK DCA squads have to be put down early if you can shoot their transports out of them they have to run across the field and can get shot to pieces. I wasn't able to de-mech them due to the fact i had taken such heavy losses in the initial shooting phase which was my fault also. They are nice if you have the right play style for them.

Great to see the BRs, thanks! I have been waiting to see if PE's start showing up. I recently deployed wrong vs a SM army and lost most of my vehicles turn one. Heck I didn't even get to shoot till turn 3! Luckily it was a Bugeater GT primer mission and table quarters was the primary. I got both Conclaves to mid and wiped out 20 marines, Lysander, and 10 terminators in 2 rounds. they single handedly won the game.
I also used a Retribution squad of 4 heavy flamers, sarg with plasma pistol and power weapon, and Kyrinov, to good effect. rending plasma was interesting!
Next up is 5 repentia for 90 points. I just want to see if this cheap squad can do anything vs vehicles and my current bane, dreadnoughts.

I have run Repentia and have had some really great success with them. A 5 man squad will murder a most dreads. I also like the 10 man squads in multi assault situations against vehicle lines. The STR 6 power weapon attack is brutal. If you can make sure you save that 1 faith point for the assault phase though you will need it for spirit of the martyr most of the time you will need a 3 to make it go off so make sure you keep the Mistress around till then. How did the Ret squad preform? I know thats a points heavy unit if tooled out.
