Hey there. This is my Strigoi Ghoul King (Voivode) on his Terrorgheist. I really like this model and it was lots of fun to paint. The layers it has with the guts then bones then flesh and skin is very cool. Comments, questions, criticism welcome. Hope you like.

Great model well painted. I love the sticky-wet effect you got in the body cavity - I'd say use a bit more of it elsewhere

The sticky effect is limited to the internal organs and mouth to help exploit the different layers this modedl has. I do find making things all goey fun but I want to be careful with this model and not go overboard with the slime and wet internal organs because it may reduce the overall effect of the gooey parts.

Nice work! Really cool model and you've done quite an excellent paint job. Love the basework and slimy looking tongue

Thankyou. The base was fun to do, though a little hard. The left arm/wing of the Terrorgheist didn't actually line up flat with the base so I had to add some putty to graduate it into the base, this error was good though as it looks more natural in how the rocks it's standing on look. Some of the bones and one of the coffin lids has been placed in a hole I cut in the base to give the idea that somebody has been digging up graves, which works with a Strigoi, "just boneses, no flesh, go find some warm squirmy meats then".

I know it vampire counts, and i know its not meant to be colourful but i wish there was a tad more colour in it somewhere.

Other than that its excellent, especially like the base.

I understand what you mean about a limited amount of strong colours in it. I did that on purpose. I want my Vampires to be pale and dead looking. I am using alot of colours but I'm avoiding the brighter ones on purpose, though I will be using some stronger colours in future Vampire models.

Good job! This is one heck of a paintjob on a really nice model, I am impressed.
Great use of colors and contrasts, and I really love thatyou've paid so much attention to the base as well, an aspect a lot of people have a tendency to forget.

Very, very well done!!

Thanks very much. I spent alot of time on it. The hardest part was doing shading and making sure the skin was pale but not so pale as to be hard to distinguish from the bone.

Hehe you have painted it too well.

I would be afraid to play with it, let people touch it, move it, look at it the wrong way etc...

The sticky wet look on the flesh is amazing.

Truly beautiful work there
