Hi all,

Well ever since I got back into my Dark Angels two years ago(see P&M blog) , I considered a second semi-competitive army to play with whilst I wait on the DA for a re-release. Aside from this I wanted to push my painting ability higher, so thought that a new race would offer different shapes and painting concepts to play with, wihtout worrying too much about them as I do with my precious angels!

I originally got into 40K due to the Space Hulk expansion 'Deathwing' hence the allegiance to Dark Angels, but as a result I've always had a thing for the Nid/Stealer race.

More recently Hive fleet Behemoth seems to capture my eye or attention, seeing them as alien devils or some such whimsical fancy, However, I also at times feel they look too cartoonish being bright and red to capture the young GW inductees.

So I also love purple and think I saw someone posting a while back of their purple and green nids and thought this looked awesome. So starting off what will be my monstrous creature list, I've began painting a load of termagants and hormagants in these two proposed colour schemes. i'd love the communities input on these in going forward as at some point i'll swing one way or the other (oo er).

I'd have to say purple, DIY armies are always better in my opinion.

I vote purple and green! They look really good! The only suggestion I would make is to reduce the "eye glow" a bit, but that's just my preference.

Um....seems to me the choice is preatty clear. I am in favor of the green and purple. they look the best IMO. I like the Behemoth, @^ I agree. Behemoth tends to be over done, and I like personal scemes better.

They look fantastic, i'm with the others, the purple is by far my favourite, very creepy and alien-esk. Keep it up, the problem i find with tyranids is always the motivation to keep going on them when you have to do thousands of the buggers. I am in two minds about the yellow eyes, if they are actually yellow patches of skin surrounding the eyes i really like it, could we have a close up to get a better feel for it?
