My very first army is slowly settling down.
A couple of weeks ago when I was first introduced
into the wonderful land of warplaying, I decided to
get involved with a lord of the rings army.
Although I'm very interested in warhammer 40k
it feels 'saver' to do this first.
Especially because I know the background story and
have some understanding of the characters and different
races.
So I went on a quest to find myself a suiting army.
This is not an easy task as many of you will know.
Being a rookie does not help. I first started exploring
the rules and trying to construct an army that would
point wise make me win.
Some friends of mine gave me advise to go for the
army that I would most likely feel comfortable with
since the best way to know if your army works is to play
with them.
This made me choose for the Kingdom of man inspired
by March Red Dwarf issue.
I obtained the book and having the films in mind, I
felt most confident and comfortable with the Rohan army.
I really like the 'good' they seem to portray.
Between that moment and now I obtained:
-6 riders
-13 warriors
-Theoden King
-Eomer marshal
-Gamling (without the horse and flag, which is a bit of a shame but ah well)
Since i'm going for a 500pt army this leaves me with some spare points
I am probably going to add some outriders or some more warrior.
As exciting as it is, this night I finally got the courage, after trimming
my models, to start painting some.
I'm currently working on the horses which I chose to be white.
I have no experience at all with miniature painting so...
....
....
yeah... I'm pretty scared, but ah well, a first for everything.
I will post pictures soon.
