Now I don't mean to sound evil here, but my question is why can't you kill kids in video games? Sometimes it just annoys me like in Skyrim when I break into someones house and the kid who should be sleeping is standing there yelling at me, threatening to tell on me, and I can't silence them with an arrow. Other games try to hide it or don't have kids at all. I know I have played games where you can do it(If you know them can you list them please.) So my question is is there a law against it or something? I probably sound like a bad person now.

The reason is that violence against children is a surefire way to get your game upgraded in rating to an AO or simply banned. It's similar to the reason you don't see gratuitous nudity or sexually explicit acts.
It's just Bethesda that's really bad with this. Fallout 3 had the Kids' City. Skyrim has children tattletales. Bethesda can't seem to understand that if you put kids in your game and make them act just like adults, you shouldn't give them absurd immunities.
As an aside, Fallout 1 allows you to kill children, and gives you a good reason to do so. Stupid pickpocketers...

You can get a mod that allows you to kill children in Skyrim, I'm pretty sure.

Fallout 2 had that as well. You'd even get the 'Childkiller' rating if you did it.

Yeah I remember that. In Reno I recall offing one of the families for one reason or another, and the kids were throwing rocks at me. A quick pop saw them drop, and I was labeled as a child killer, the scum of the wasteland.
Personally I wouldn't care if children popped up in a game as targets instead of just being annoying side characters reserved for JRPG's.
However people still think vidya games = real life and killing children makes you a terrible person, even though mowing down hordes of pedestrians or otherwise innocent bystanders doesn't mean anything.

Yeah but they weren't actual children models. Not in all versions of the game, anyway. I had to install the unofficial patch to get actual children models.
OP it's not "illegal" to have a game that allows you to kill children, but it's usually considered morally reprehensible...for good reason, I'm sure you'll agree.

I wanted to kill Amy so badly in AMY. She was so fething annoying.
I wish you could kill kids in games, but then again, it would come with massive scandal, some new rating from the ESRB (CK- Child Killing) and Faux News blabbing on about how the game Promotes real world violence and rape or something.

Original version of fallout 2 did have the models, interplay later removed them for legal reasons.

Pfft. Try Neverwinter nights. Kill a kid's mother and they'd attack you AND KILL YOU but you couldn't do anything to them... What's worse is that once they kill you once, they do it again and again. They become permanently hostile. Stupid game.
