STC; your Alpha Legionairres and their armour shake-ups are one of the biggest modelling influences upon my own Emperor's Children. I absolutely love how you have handled the subvert green & blue without over-blowing it and making them appear to Tronish. Are you mixing FW with GW suits? It seems that you are, although how do you handle any 'waste' parts? I suppose you find a use for all?

I know next to nothing of this chapter, but holy jimbajabadoo that is some nice blended higlights.
But those eyes.. those eyes! I have never seen black eye lenses done before, but man do they the part!

@Eiríkr: Those things are mostly plastic (the assult sergeant as good as completely white metal). the only resin in those pics are the torso and heads of the apothecary and meltagunner (FW's Red Scorpions infantry kit) so so far there is no 'waste' to speak of .

Really nice painting, the green highlights are perfect.

I approve of the clean armour for AL, always thought the horns and spikes wouldn't be their style.

The Alpha Legion is awesome, and you have certainly done them justice. Do you object to the subtle scale motifs you see done on Alpha legionaries sometimes? I always like them myself. Great work!

I agree that AL doesn't seem the type to go all uber spikey, but the Captain int he first pic seems to have an aquila stuck on his back........although this being AL that could just be to confuse people.

There is a great subtlety to the whole scheme that fits the nature of the legion perfectly. A good idea well executed is always a pleasure to see.

Alpha legion are great, and I also agree that the Legion book does them wonders. I would love to build up an Alpha legion army if not for Death Guard, Love the plague marines (but they need to be plastic)
