Hey guys, I have had my Ork army laying around for way to long. I think I want to dust them off the shelf and give them a go. Let me know how you think this army would fair.

This list is extremely simple and straight forward. I would love to see this thing on the field, and I think it would do really well...Killing 150 Boyz before they get stuck in on turn 2 is a little tough to do =)

this list is beautiful, only suggestion, drop all lootas for buzzsaw koptas with rokkits if you want but I find koptas infanitely better than lootas.. Also change a couple mobs to shoota boys and give them 3 rokkits.

Something I did in my 6000 point WAAAGH is I had 4 mobs of boys, 4 mobs of nobs, 2 warbosses (one of them Ghazzy), and the rest is all dakka of some form or another. Automatically Appended Next Post: Definitely add more boys to the Waagh. I recommend getting nobs and giving them all power klaws. I've killed many nasty things with this method, especially if I throw Ghazzy in with that unit.

The list is fine the way it is. Kommandos have synergy with foot sloogers, though I don't reserve Ork units
I wouldn't set up any dakka boyz as suggested.....this list is made for running, and Ghaz delivers that final charge and whomp.
I disagree with suicide koptas as well. They have their place, but they're a crap shoot. Lootas provide more long lasting support.
If I were to do anything with this list, it would be to add a KFF to save some of the boyz on the way in.

Koptas may add to this list with alpha strike, just because they are not running on foot doesn't mean they are fast. They provide a early threat and can buy the foot troopers some time to reach enemy lines without much trouble. I wouldn't swap Lootas for Koptas though, I'd probably take 1-2 Koptas in a list like this. I would swap them for the Kommandos, Kommandos are fail. They come in and might kill some troops and maybe the odd vehicle and that's about it, wow.

The only reason I have the Kommandos is so Ghazzy can come in from any table edge with Snikrot. I may toss around the Idea to drop the Kommandos down a little and add in a deff kopta...Ill have to see how it works out.
However, I would never trade Lootas for Koptas...ever

The problem I see with Ghazgkull is you're going to have to keep the Kommandos with him to give him extended life. He's only tough to take down when you call a waaagh! It also depends when the Kommandos arrive from reserve too. If Ghazgkull isn't running about with that 2+ invulnerable, then he can be taken down with mass AP2 or below fire power, though it depends where that fire power is at the time I guess.

Well his auto 6 inch fleet move will make sure my army is stuck in on turn 2...turn 3 at the very latest. By this time, Most everything that can bring ghazzy down, will either be tied up or worrying about 150 ork boyz. Ghazzy is really there to mess with my opponents head and push them up from their table edge. If Ghazzy comes in and crushes down a parking lot and creates panic on 1 side...then he did his job. I will keep the Kommandos with him so he stays safe from fire...if he goes down...thats fine, he still did was he was intended to do. Ghazzy is a true beast and if hes coming in from any table edge...thats just scary.

take the komandos down to 5 and put the mek in with the points give everything in your army cover then you win trust me i annihilate everyone with the same list basicly instead of the koptas being suicide the squad to deliver a much much deadlier payload aka ghaz which is why koptas are useless in a greentide list Automatically Appended Next Post: Grimgar314 wrote:this list is beautiful, only suggestion, drop all lootas for buzzsaw koptas with rokkits if you want but I find koptas infanitely better than lootas.. You speak blasphemy koptas have there place but more in a kan wall list and lootas should never be replaced with you might not see til the 5th round of the game

I will def consider dropping the Kommandos down. We are going to be playing 2500 points and I was going to add in a Nob Biker squad with a Warboss for a solid hammer unit to flank one side. Just to give the list some dimension.
