I'm not too sure how this'll work so please give me your thoughts, thinking of playing against a Crone Hellebron list in the near future (should be fun, lots of witch elves)

For all those that don't know Gorbad allows me to take an army of Big Uns if I so choose, which I do so please no you can't take that many Big Uns comments. Ta

Gorbad - 375

Orc Shaman - 250
Level 3, Fencers Blades, Power Stone, 5+ Ward

Orc Shaman - 135
Level 2, Crown of Command

Orc Shaman - 90
Level 1, Dispel Scroll

Big Uns - 350 (Level 3)
35 Big Uns, Shields, Mus, Std, Standard of Discipline

Big Uns - 345 (Level 2)
35 Big Uns, Shields, Mus, Std, BoEF

Big Uns - 325 (Level 1)
30 Big Uns, Shields, Mus, Std, War Banner*

Boar Boyz - 365 (Gorbad)
14 Big Uns, Spear, Shield, Mus, Std

Boar Boyz - 265
10 Big Uns, Spear, Shield, Mus, Std, Gleaming Pennant

Total 2491

* not sure if this is redundant due to Gorbad's Waaaagh special rule?

I'm not sure how good big uns are I haven't played them, but I have played lots of witch elves and the key there is numbers.

They assume the higher initiative with 3 attacks each using poison to make there wounds so your toughness is moot afaik.

Spending lots of points on big un's I guess there usefulness is depending on if they will be able to survive being hit by the elves, after that they should make good work of killing them.

I would swap shields for AHW and yes warbanner stacks with WAAAGHHH

I thought the magic banner with big uns was 0-1.

Keep the shields. When you're taking ~50 S3 poison attacks, you need the 5+/6++ or you might not having anyone alive to swing back. Witch elves in horde average something like 21 wounding hits before you swing.
Either way, you're pretty screwed. With shields you lose by less on average.

I like the idea of a big-un theme, but witch elves is about the worst pair up. Arrer Boy Spam on the other hand will give those witches a run for the money.

Well the rules for Big Uns is 0-1 and cam take magic banner. Gorbad lifts the 0-1 restriction but doesn't make a note of banners. I'll check the FAQ and see.

The only counters you have against Witch Elves ATM are Warpath and... that's about it. Don't get me wrong, Warpath can chew through Witch Elves like a hot knife through butter (who'd have thought they dislike being hit by what's potentially multiple non-misfiring Bret. Trebuchets / turn?), but it needs to get off at the 18+ casting and then needs to roll for multiple units. If it works, you can squish large numbers of Witches (a single foot can readily take out 10-20 Witches with a good placing), but if it doesn't you're stuck with melee, and without Itchy Nuisance you're going to be taking a lot of hits before you can strike.

I'd suggest some durable heroes / lords. Witches hate something that refuses to budge and has an armor save.
