So, my state is having a year long event involving everyone building & painting a Space Marine Company.

Having never collected Space Marines, I wouldn't be sure, but what is the constituency of a Space Marine company? Or at least, what are the 'rules' that dictate what is and what isn't a company?

Standard Codex Astartes company consists of:
1 Captain and Command Squad
6 Tactical Squads
2 Assault Squads
2 Devastator Squads
