Really, Enzephalon? I'm not getting an overly strong "airbrushed" vibe, and that's something that usually jumps out at me. I mean, I can see where he did it, but if looks reasonably natural, to my eye.
For me, the rust is the biggest visual oddity. It may be the photo (or my monitor, for that matter), but the body rust has a bit of a purple tinge while the rust on the exhaust is such a vivid red that it appears almost glowing (promising technique, if you ever need to represent black body radiation on a model).
Overall, though, I absolutely love this model. The weathering is great, even with those aforementioned oddities. The yellow is perfect, though much of that is linked to the weathering. Great work!

I don't feel like it's obviously air brushed.
I agree the rust is a bit overstated, but just a bit.
My only other observation is that the lenses could be a little more detailed relative to the rest of the model.
I would say that the airbrushing is spot on. It serves as a basecoat, a shading and a gradiant effect on the tusks. Therefore in my mind the use of airbrushing is spot on, and i want one Great model and insane paintjob! I enjoy your videos and they are amongst the reason i started this hobby in the first place!
Did you protect the rust-coloured undercoat with varnish to make sure only the yellow colour was removed by the steel brush? Also did you use any liquid mask?

I've seen a lot of your videos, they're very good
I found the one where you show scratching the paint off the hatch but how do you protect the rust colour from being scratched off right down to the plastic? Do you use a varnish layer before the hull colour?
