What is everyone's opinion on using Victoria Lamb's miniatures in your Praetorian Imperial Guard Army? I have purchased twice from her website and really love her work and was wondering what other members experiences have been with her models. Here is my blog posting about some of her models that I recently purchased: http://thepraetoriantwentyfourth.blogspot.com/ ...

Liking the size comparison photos. Wanted to do a praetorian army for ages, but none of the available historical british zulu war figs were ever big enough to look proper on a table with other GW minis. I'll have to keep an eye out on those Victoria Lamb figures.

Might want to change the title of your thread and not write it in all caps. The capslock is annoying and the title is somewhat misleading. Also, I'm sure Vic would appreciate it if there was a link to her site: http://www.victorialamb.com/store.html
I really love her stuff. She's probably the only sculptor outside of GW who sculpts in a very GW way if that makes sense. Her models look a lot more like something GW would actually make than anything Maxmini or (guh) Chapterhouse would make. I really love her models, and if I wasn't already so swamped I'd pick up a bunch of her highlander Guardsmen.

You scored a Captain Caine!! Vic does tend to put something extra in. I scored six spare heads last time. I'm waiting for the next group of releases and then it will be a fairly large order.
There is still quite a core of gamers who will not let the Praetorians fade away and most of us are running blogs as well. Vic has done a large amount of work recently but Col Gravis has ceratinly done his part. The Secret Weapon pith helmets heads are his sculpts plus he has done his own Rough Riders. Of course, all this may have prompted Maxmini to do their own pith helmets as well.

Took your advice about the caps, thanx. She and Col. Gravis are my two favorites. I have also purchased from Empress Miniatures and Wargames Factory (just for the plastic Pith Helmets). I'm stuck between a rock (how expensive GW Praetorians are to pick up on eBay) and a hard place (how time consuming it is to buy cheaper Mordian troopers and replace the heads). And BONUS..I have no skill at converting! Automatically Appended Next Post:
Thanx, I had read the first but not the second...
