okay so I have started work on my Deff dread and I want an opinion from you guys and girls here he is



so should I add the extra horns from the battlewagon or not, heres a mock up of with sorry about the pictures being on their side, I forgot to change them before I uploaded them to dakka


and without what do you thin?


And if I add them should I match them to the blue I use, paint them up like metal (like the tusks I added to the jaw piece) or big bony hornish things?

well I have added the horns and decided that even though I'm not very good at painting bone/horns/tusks that i would try to do my best and had a go.... on the second attempt I did a little better


I have magnatised the lower arm sockets and purchased a few extra weapon mounts from a bits site my favorite is probably the kitbash claw, as I use three CC weapons on the main attack arm I had to steal the big claw from the battlewagon kit that I'd never gotten around to fionishing off.... here's a close up

I like it. Definately Keep the Horns/ Tusks on there. It draws the eys inward towords the Orky head. With out them, it just kinda sits amungst the bulk , waiting to be noticed. Good stuff!

well the horns/tusks arn't going anywhere i got some advice froma friend and stuck them on there before i painted them...

I agree, I also really like the right arm.

No I don't really use clan specific stuff I just like the colour scheme

Consider a white dot in the middle of the lense for the eye. Then consider a gloss over top just the eye. It will give it the full on "lense" look.

Thanks for the advice on the eye lense, I'm not happy with the blending of the yellow to green but i will give that a go after I redo the green/yellow transition..... I have painted all the weapons and magnatised them so I can have any load out I want..... Yes I know he needs basing

I'll take that quite happily. I think calling him Mr stompy dosen't help the cuteness or rather it gives the impression of cuteness
