Something happened over the weekend that seemed odd simply because I'd never seen it before.

I assaulted a group of space wolves with Arjak (spelling?) Anyway, I moved my 3 independant characters into base to base contact (Reclusiarch, Librarian, Sanguinary Priest) then piled the rest of the AM into the assault.

Ok so the other guy counter attacked so Arjak got 5 attacks with his thunder hammer. Unfortunately I rolled poorly and Arjak was left standing at initiative 1. He then proceeded to place 2 strength 10 ap1 attacks on the reclusiarch, 2 on the librarian, and 1 on the priest. He hit with all of them and killed all 3.

Is it legal to allocate attacks like that from a single model? I assume so since the 3 IC were in base to base contact with Arjak (though it didn't really matter, since he was just part of the unit, not an IC). I've just not seen a single model attack 3 models in a single phase before.

As long as arjack was in B2B with all 3 of your IC's then this is a legal move.

Yup. He needs btb with all 3 IC, and enough attacks. Then as long as he declares before rolling all is well

Wow arjak really paid off, so rare that it actually happens like that. That is the way to do that, you can do the same if you have a normal guy in B2B with multiple IC's, probably won't do as well though.

It isnt AP1, either. Just A TH in close combat...

Any model with multiple attacks can split them however it wants among units it is eligible to attack. It must declare how it's dividing them before rolling any of them, however.
