Do crypteks and lords that join a necron troop choice (warriors or immortals) become scoring themselves? This does make a difference because after wiping out the entire unit, the lord/cryptek can still come back into play due to Ever-living.

What are your thoughts?

If wolf guard who join a Grey Hunter pack are scoring then I see no reason why a Cryptek/Lord would not be.

Absolutely. They (basically) work just like Wolf Guard do.

And to head it off now (just in case), for more EL coming back fun, check out the Necron and Instant Death thread which is now on the topic of EL and Sweeping Advance.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Precedent is clear, Yes. Just like Wolf Guard.

I did, and it was because I hit the wrong button.

In every poll, there's going to be 5% or so who hit the wrong answer. There's going to be another 5% or so who misunderstand the question and answer the opposite of what they intend. And, there's going to be another 5% or so who feel that a poll for so straightforward an answer is silly and will just troll it.

So, anything 85% or higher basically means "complete, 100% agreement"

They absolutely count.

Knowing why this question was raised, I would like to point out that there is some confusion by some to whether or not EL models can make a RP after there original unit was SA by placing their counter before it occurred.

This is why polls are cute and fun but ultimately stupid in regards to rules, law, or any type of rigid structure. In regards to rules there is a right or wrong and just because the numbers indicate one thing doesn't matter.

Example: Is running a red light legal? 100% said no.... We no in fact that it is, so polling was irrelevant to the answer but was useful in displaying most people don't understand the law.

To me, there isn't really anything controversial/confusing about it. I make my case and if my opponent does not agree, then we dice off. Simple.

Yeah, the purpose of the poll was to let the person see how much in the minority he was as he believed the crypteks weren't scoring. I felt bad that he was gimping himself in his games.

Why does the Lord, an HQ Choice count as troops? Can he separate from the unit?

Can the cryptek later separate from the unit? If they cannot separate, then i think they would count...if they can later separate, i would think no

They are not ICs, so have no ability to leave the unit they are joined to through the Royal Court rules. Exactly the same as WG, who are Elites (usually) also score when attached to troops.
