I have heard that in England there are 3 story game stores that have food and beer available inside, as well as game store stuff.
From what I can tell there is nothing like that in the US. Why (aside from GW being a British Company) is there nothing like this in the U.S?
Anyone have the names of the places like that in the UK. I might need to visit the UK to see these wonderful places.

The biggest gamming stores in the UK are Warhammer World in Nottingham and maelstrom Games in mansfield. Neither span three stories, don't know where you heard that. But both have huge gaming halls and Warhammer World has Bugmans Bar which serves food and beer.

Also some clubs meet in pubs, or community centres that are licensed for drink.
I've never heard of a dedicated three-storey building though.

Cut and thrust in Bristol is a three story shop with thirty odd tables and a beer fridge. Alex has done a fine a great job setting it up.

That's the bunny. It's been open a while now and has it's own forums and tournaments. When GW stopped letting their stores have custom built terrain, CnT took a lot of theold awesome boards of their hands.it's a really great place to play.

Back in 2004 GW had a plan to build a monster gaming venue, and they settled on a building in Watford which used to be a large Carpet warehouse and showroom.
It was multi floored and the floors were massive. The train links were excellent to London and to the rest of the country as well. A bar and snack restaurant were planned and a merchandising area as well.
It went as far as preparing to sign the lease and then it all went down the gurgler because the negative financial results in 2005 came home to roost and thats when the big cull of GW staff kicked in and the LotR bubble burst.
So the big venue never saw the light of day.
