This is pretty simple really. Can someone help me come up with a good name for a Space Marine Chapter? I've thought of a few names, but they're either already taken (Brazen Skulls) or sound horrible (FIRE DRAGON EAGLE DANGER HAWKS).

EDIT: I thought of a name that might work. Does "Avton Knights" sound good? They're from the Avton Solar System. Or maybe the "Death Knights". Or perhaps the "Nemesis Knights". Or "Omega Knights". Or they could be an Ultramarine successor called the "Ultra Knights". So far I'm leaning towards "Omega Knights".

I vote for the White Knights if you're looking for a Good Name. The Chapter Master could be Hiro Protagonist.

Alternatively, there might be room for a Chapter Master Ward in the White Knights...

I mean a cool sounding name, not a good guy name. The main character, a member of the Chapter, goes renegade and the story I'm writing and takes about thirty Marines with him.

You should post some thoughts about the character of the chapter so we can brain storm some fitting names.

Essentially there's this guy named Koa. He's a super dee-duper heroic Space Marine. However, during a routine mission, a heretic he's about to execute asks him if he's ever seen the Emperor. Though Koa kills the heretic and saves the day, the question sticks with him. He has a talk with his Chaplin in hopes of making himself feel better, but when the Chaplin says stuff like, "A small mind is a tidy mind" he just feels worse.

Finally he almost dies on the battlefield. After the Apothecary revives him, it occurs to him that he almost died in vain for a man he's never met. That's the last straw for him. Without thinking, he calls a nearby group of Space Marines to rebel against the Emperor and join his cause.

Most of them stay loyal of course (Space Marines are very hard to corrupt) but a group of them find themselves in agreement with him. He and his traitors run off, hijack a frigate, and flee the Chapter.

Now, free of their Chapter, the superhuman monks who have never once indulged themselves are allowed to do whatever they want. Bad, squicky stuff involved drugs and sex and the like occurs as Koa and his followers rampage across the Solar System they're in, fleeing their Chapter and the Inquisition.

The majority of the renegades are corrupted by Slaanesh, but Koa himself and a few others remain purely renegade. This is mainly because of Koa's ego; he only wants to serve himself. He doesn't want to get trapped into worshiping another uncaring entity like the Emperor.

And then some more stuff happens, but that's all you really need to know regarding the Chapter that Koa's from.

Ebony daemons?

Obsidian Skulls?
Onyx Executioners?

How about The Emperor's Mercy? It does show a lot of devotion to the emperor so it makes the betrayal even more horrid. What do you think?

The Shields of Avton/Omega

I have one myself, the Oppressors of Secrets. Basically an alternative to mind-wiping Space Marines after contact with daemons while keeping things under wraps even through they take in recruits as well.

Knights of Doom.
Emperor's Wrath (though that's also an Emperor-class battleship in my fluff).
Counts of Perdition.
