Looking to learn a bit more about the Eldar background.
Are any of the novels out there particularly good? Path of the Warrior/Seer? Older ones?

Gav Thorpe's Path books are great. Really looking forward to Path of the Outcast. Other than those, there aren't really any that come to mind. Maybe the end of Ghostmaker by Dan Abnett? But then, everyone should read Gaunt's Ghosts anyway. Void Stalker by ADB should have some Eldar goodies in it, I think it comes out in a month or so, that's the third in his Night Lords series which I also highly recommend.

Path of the Warrior is a great book with tons of info on the life of an Eldar.

Path of the Seer is also good, a bit of an Eldar fanboy book but still good.

I am currently reading Path of the Renegade, which is also turning out to be good. So if you wanna learn about Dark Eldar, pick it up as well.

The Gav Thorpe triology is basically the only current source.
There are also older dated novels like Farseer (William King) and Shadow Point, but that's basically it.
Standard disclaimer: Avoid anything written by C:S.Goto: He hates Eldar and has no clue about official background. You don't want his pervert ideas about Eldar in your head, believe me.

I completely forgot about Farseer and Shadow Point. As stated, both are decent sources of info on the Eldar and despite being older, both are still cannon. The newer books are just much more Eldar centered.

Oh, one I forgot, Atlas Infernal by Rob Sanders. Not Eldar-centric, but has some great scenes with Harlequins and some info about them and the Black Library (in-universe, not the publisher)

Right now the Path of the Warrior/Seer/Outcast/Renegade series is the only real info inside the Eldar via BL. It's pretty disgraceful considering how many SM novels there are.

There's not a whole lot on them, and the cultural differences between different Craftworlds are significant enough that it's entirely possible that the Gav Thorpe novels only describe the culture of Alaitoc.
