The Eye of Terror, by the will of the Dark Gods

Shas'O "Glacierheart"
Commander Glacierheart is as cold and unrelenting as the wind-swept tundra of his homeworld. He is feared and loathed in equal parts, but respect from his cohorts is as assured as his victories. When he steps in a room, a peculiar, chilling presence drifts in, betraying his intent and purpose. He is pitiless, using the Greater Good as a means to further his goals. He would send tau to their deaths if it meant a quick victory. When taking the field, Glacierheart wields a special issue piece of hardware that is said to be the only one of its kind; a subzero blaster. Utilizing weaponized cold fusion, Glacierheart will snap freeze his foes into quivering statues before letting loose a barrage of missiles to finish them off. A deadly combo to say the least, Shas'O Glacierheart was responsible for the deaths of a Captain of the Blood Angels and his Honour Guard, routing the so called Angels of Death and conquering that world for the Empire.

Shas'O Bloodmane

Bloodmane is an oddity amongst his kind. While most Tau are solemn, even during times at war, Bloodmane is boisterous and quick-witted. Some find it difficult to be around him, for his rude antics and boundless energy prove to be vexatious. But no one could deny that he is an effective leader and any member of the Fire Caste could vouch for his combat ability. Bloodmane's war strategy consists of applying extreme heat on exposed enemy positions, and this is only exemplified by his aresenal. He overcomes his enemies with plasma and flame, rousing nearby warriors with his over the top violence. He prefers to fight up close and personal, watching his foe's pained expressions melt away into nothingness. Bloodmane trains constantly, not only keeping up with his marksmanship, but he also maintains a strong martial aptitude, having once knocked the now exiled Farsight out with a stiff hammerfist. During battle, when an enemy charges into melee combat, most Tau Commanders will try to jet away to safety, but Bloodmane will instead bring himself crashing into the fray, abandoning all thoughts of self preservation. This practice of his is bordeline taboo, but with the amount of worlds brought into the Empire because of Commander Bloodmane, there are few who would challenge him . . .

An HQ choice for a C: Tau Empire army

Fire and Ice

Ever at odds with one another, Shas'O Glacierheart and Shas'O Bloodmane are two of the most successful leaders during the Tau Third Expansion. Nicknamed 'Fire and Ice', they have proven to be nigh unstoppable when paired together, regardless of the fact that the two tau utterly despise one another. The forces of the Imperium, the PDF, the Arbites, the Imperial Guard, and even Space Marines have had difficulty containing them, finding more and more of their worlds annexed and held by Tau Empire forces.
Their vehemence is a jagged, ugly thing, which results in them clashing on and off the battlefield. Even the way they make war couldn't possibly be anymore different. Glacierheart prefers usage of surprise attacks, using pathfinders, stealth teams, Broadside teams, Skyray Gunships, sniper drone teams and remora fighers, as well as an elite core of XV8 Crisis teams, the 'Cold Bloods'. Bloodmane on the other hand commands a great many Fire Warrior teams, Hammerhead speartips, Pirahna and Tetra teams, Kroot and Vespids, even Gue'vesa warriors, as well as his own deadly XV8 Crisis teams known as the 'Fireballs' who, like their Commander, have a penchant to meet the foe head-on when charged.
Due to these two individuals, the Tau are beginning to be seen by the other races of the galaxy as a serious potential threat, as their advance shows no sign of slowing, and their tenacity becoming known to all.

change this to
"any vehicle that suffers a glancing or penetrating hit, suffers a shaken result in adition to any other effects"

even thunder hammers dont auto stun any more

But the weapon has no Strength value so it can't pen or glance. Also it's the weapons only effect against vehicles so it doesn't really break the game to auto stun.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous

Thats what I was going for since I dont believe ice would destroy a vehicle, but it would freeze gun turrets, halt track/anti grav movement, disrupt targeting and for all intents and purposes stop a vehicle from operating.

Epic win, these guys would both fit well into the tau codex for a much needed bad ass injection to their commanders section. Well done.

I like the idea of giving a unit of tau counter attack, it's a creative way of giving them a boost in melee without coming up with a new unit or weapon. Love it.

Thank you
Exactly I feel tau could be badass in their own way without having to be great in CC or like space marines

Characters are awesome, but as an added suggestion for the first character, Preffered Enemy:Blood Angels, because of his time conquering Blood Angels worlds, he has developed a second instinct for Blood Angels tactics.

My only thing to comment on really, is that Cold Fusion isn't actually very cold... infact it's quite hot. While it's not as hot as 'hot' fusion, it's still pretty warm.

I'd suggest making it an Thermodynamic Induction Rifle, an experimental modified fusion blaster that uses an ionized laser create a 'path' for a -insert technobabble here- to follow it, causing immediate supercooling of the target.

Or the weapon uses the rail rifle technology to fire canisters of liquid nitrogen.
