90% of mine are bought from thewarstore.com but I'll occasionally pick one up from my FLGS.
The only reason I don't buy them all from my FLGS is because they have a nasty habbit of marking up the price.

Thanks !
The warstore has quite a limited inventory online, I suppose you can contact them for products not listed ?

www.maelstromgames.co.uk offer free worldwide shipping, but they can be quite slow (I ordered some Infinity stuff 4 weeks ago and it is still "processing" prior to postage).

I buy all of my Infinity stuff from my FLGS.
They're not expensive enough to need to order them online. With how much an individual model costs, they're right up there with impulse purchases. And since I don't buy my GW stuff from them (which I do order online due to local prices) but I do use their gaming tables, I figure it's a good game for me to buy locally.

If you order the model while it is out of stock from TheWarStore they will send it to you the moment it is back in stock.

I can vouch for maelstrom - they might be slow at times (there was a 25% off sale a week ago) but they always send their stuff and have decent prices.
That said, I usually buy from the FLGS for Infinity, they need my business and I play on their tables when I do play the game.

Local suppliers and dealers where possible.
Their price comparison is good - and it's not like they have the same markups GW expect.

Infinity is really a bad idea =P
I already got a hundred of 40k models still in the boxes...and around three hundreds that needs to be painted...
And I don't even think I played more than 10 games of 40k haha
But Infinity seems special =P
Although i'm not an experienced painter, I now want to post my future models so people can comment and help improve.

Yeah, local prices are surprisingly good. I think individual models are $16au-$18au, 2 packs are $22au and 3 packs are $28au - considering an army generally sits around 10 models, that's about $100au - $130au for an army depending on what you include.
The only time I had a shock at the prices was when I grabbed my frist batch, and included was the two pack of Muyibs (with one spitfire), Ghulam doctor and Ghulam with Panzerfaust. The Ghulam with Panzerfaust was $26au. It obviously wasn't a pricing error with a 2 pack price put on it (since they're a different price, and cheaper). Just seemed really odd.

Single figure blisters around $10-12.
Two model blisters for $18 or so.
Boxes from $35 up to $50.
When I can get the stuff here within a day or two, for these prices, then why would I bother trying to save a buck or two with an OS dealer (and have the two-week wait for it anyway - minimum).

None of my local stores carry it as far as I am aware, which is why I had to order online. If there was a local store I would certainly be inclined to go in and pick up a force - mine is about 60 quid for 11 or 12 models

Yeah, my local store started carrying them in FORCE. Problem is, that force has a distinct lack of Haqqislam!
But they have the starter boxes for nearly everyone else, and they have a really awesome selection. They've been doing a good job of keeping everything in stock and I definitely appreciate it. I give them my business whenever possible, which is often.
I'm the kinda guy who always buys something, even if it's small, when I'm in there. It might be a single model for an army that isn't even mine, but I know how some of these shops struggle at times. They don't jack up the price, and they let me hang out and paint and game, so I should give them some of my money.
That being said, I did drop 100 bucks on stuff they didn't stock online. But I make up for it elsewhere.
Still haven't broken down and purchased the Maghariba yet. When everything else is in the tens and twenties I hesitate at the 60 bucks for the mecha that can barely fit into my army list.
I'm sure I'll buy it anyway eventually.

It's perfectly acceptable to use 40k figs I think. They work great for Ariadna especially. I've done some Eldar to play as PanO myself. It's the only way I'm going to play them! Just don't use their character figs for your Lt.! might as well put a target on him lol!

yeah don't sweat proxying 40k stuff, that is how I got started and a lot of others. There is a joke that floats around the internets...
GW wants you to pay
CB just wants you to play
That is why they give you the free rules, wiki, and tons of support. The beauty of the miniatures will sell themselves.

Haha yeah I used Guadians as basic infantry like alguaciles/moderators, Wraithguard as Mobile Brigada, Rangers as Intruder MSR/Spektr MSR, Swooping Hawks as Hellcats, heavy weapon crew guardian as Interventor, etc
Really it works flawlessly. I had a buddy use space marines with special weapons as Aleph and we currently have a player using IG as Ariadna.

Haha, I haven't paid anything. Oddly enough, everytime I order something there, I pay when they receive the stuff. So if I dont buy it, they would be stuck with my special order.
I ordered last week, it was supposed to be approx. 2 weeks.
But when I went yesterday to add models to the order, the order hadn't yet been sent.
So I guess it will be 2 more weeks, unless some models are out of stock.
Hopefully, I will get my order before the painting contest =)

There are some amazing painters on this forum. I wouldn't really consider myself one of them, but I do love painting, and will certainly give my 100% to it! I'm sure you can produce some good looking models to give the rest of us a run for our money.
And we're all more than willing to spill our deepest darkest painting secrets at the drop of a hat. All you gotta do is ask.

I'm pretty sure i have ChoKonnit from the official forums coming over to sell models from Dakka. He is based near me but he ships international and he will happily take things out of the box to cut shipping costs or to get you a specific model. I believe he said that if it can fit in an envelope he almost always ships for £2.
I can't wait to see your painting. I bet your much better than you think you are!

From my friend's perspective, I paint well (none of them paint so is it really a good source ? =P )
I don't think i'm bad but my models sure could use more details.
Still only using very basic techniques =P
Thanks for the encouragement (is that even a word in english ?)
Would posting 40k minis, for critics, in here would be appropriate or should it go into the painting forum ?
This board seems so much more friendly, probably from seeing the same nice people everyday

Best to just jump in. I was worried the first time i put a picture of one of my models online, once i had a couple of replies i couldn't remember why i had been bothered.
What's the worst that can happen? Some tool says your rubbish and everyone else tells him to piss off or be constructive. And thats not going to happen anyway, if it needs work, people will give advice. If it looks amazing, people will give advice. Don't worry.
