What according to your own opinion is the cheesiest list out there right now? Closest to an auto-win.

GK Shuntquake vs daemons

Can't get closer to an autowin than an actual autowin

Other than that you'd have to break it down by army and oopponent, as they don't tend to apply to all armies equally.

For example, Green Tide Orks are in for a royal fungal buttfething against an IG pieplate and flamer line, but a mobile DE force with dark lance ravagers and blasterborn in venoms (pretty good against most lists) will get steamrollered by the Big Green Machine

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

That would be Grey Knights. They're not an auto-win exactly, but you don't have to be too smart to win with purifiers. Properly outfitted, there isn't a whole lot in this game that they can't handle. Insomuch as the strategy of the game is matching the right units in your army to the best targets in your opponent's, purifiers are kind of an easy button.

Agreed.. I hear people complaining about paladins a lot (and yeah they can be tough but you should be able to deal with them) but IMHO it's purifiers that are OP.. most GK players will say something along the lines of 'well they still only have a 3+ save and yadayadayada' but these guys can just take such ridiculoud wargear.. Those psycannons are really where the problem lies and purifiers can take them fairly cheaply. My bro wrecked my landraider crusader with a couple of psycannons.. I was not amused.. Add to that the so-called psyflemen dread (where the normal rifleman dread is good, the ability to instakill MEQ and even glance av14 makes these so much better) and you've got yourself a pretty nasty list to play against unless you've tailored your army list to deal with it..

But I have to be honest, my necrons have been performing admirably well since the new codex got you and have given my bro's grey knights a pounding

True. I agree that the real problem is the ridiculous ammount of anti tank that every purifier squad can tkae. It wouldn't be a big deal if they were more expensive, because then you couldn't take as many squads, but when you have an army that can easily throw out 20 or 30 strength 7 and 8 attacks every turn, and kill monstrous creatures and marines with their force weapons, and zap hordes with their purifying flame rule, it's hard to see where the weakness lies. People who talk up their 3+ armor as a weakness are just rationalizing their beardy ways.

Most cheesy unit then? Wazdakka is up there.

T6, 3 wounds and a 4+ armour and cover in the open. Plus can fire either his Kustom Blaster or Dakka Cannon when turbo boosting. And has Meks Tools.

No, really the most cheesy army is probably something along the lines of Long Fang spam.

Not sure if serious......

His Meks tools never get used as why would you pay 185pt (IIRC) to repair vehicles, use a cheaper mek for that, he'll be scooting around crumpin' stuff. He's still T5 for the purpose of instant death. Kustom Mega Blasters and Dakkacannons aren't the best guns in the world anyway and a 4+ isn't amazing in the grand scheme of things. Yes he makes bikes troops but I still wouldn't take him just for the bikes, they're not even that good for their points. I can immediately think of other things even in the same codex cheesier than Wazdakka, the Big Mek of cheese got its name for a reason.

Anyway, onto the actual topic as it's most cheesy list not unit, I'll probably go through it in terms of factions though.

GK: Purifer spam is pretty cheesy, and the henchmen build with Coteaz is as well.

Guard: I wouldn't say there's too much 'cheese' but the fact that you can get so much firepower for so few points is competitive.

How is that even possible though? Can't the White Scars just deploy on the other side of the field?

I believe the board edge that is blocked is that of the White Scars player. He had his entire army reserved, so he HAD to come in from that edge.

I'm completely aware of the grammatical differences, unfortunately there is a character limit as to how long a user name can be. I decided to keep the name because I feel it's still communicated effectively. You're a mildly condescending person aren't you?
