My friend says ork ballistic skill doesn't reduce the scatter of blast weapons. I haven't been able to find anything in his codex about it. Is this true?

Sounds ridiculous. BS is BS. However, indirect fire that lands outside of LOS does not count BS. The orks have . . . 1 gun, I believe, that fires indirectly.

So it doesn't reduce then? I thought it sounded odd.

A lot of the Ork weapons are Ordnance weapons which don't get BS maybe that is the confusion?

Ordnance blast and regular blast weapons reduce scatter by BS just like anyone else's (when in LOS).

Barrage (both normal and ordnance) that are targeting units out of LOS don't reduce scatter, also just like everyone else's.

OOPS my bad, they aren't Ordnance barrage weapons, thought they were.

Ork codex says nothing about it, meaning so long as you fire directly with a weapon (ie not barrage indirect) you get to reduce misses by two inches.

Also if you are using a SAG, take an ammo runt for him so you can re-roll the scatter dice.
