Hey, I've just finished a 1500 point DA army and have started up a Legion Of Everblight one as well, now I'm looking for a way to move them around.
I've looked around a lot of threads and sites (battle foam, GW, Feldherr ...) and have begun to narrow it down with the 3 options I've found, all being around 105 Shipping included to Canada.
What I'm here to ask is if anyone has found a really good case for =< that price, preferably that could be switched around for different armies (pluck foam/generic slots).
The 3 I've found were by Charon productions:Skirmisher Pack ES, KR Multicase:Kaiser1 and Sabol:MarkII.
It would also be great if anyone could recommend / bash any of the options, since If nothing else is brought up it will be one of those that I go with.
Thanks

The only one of those three I've bought from recently is KR Multicase, though I didn't get one of the Kaiser cases. I've got no complaints.

I'm really happy with a Kaiser2 transport bag. It has a ton of pockets for all my dice, templates, books, etc. I got extra card cases for my armies (with the pick+pluck foam), then just leave them packed up ready to swap out of the main bag as they're needed.

Ya, the real bonus I'm seeing from KR is the crazy amount of customizable foam options.
Just wondering, did you get any of the core pieces, and how do they fit normal guys (space marine/boyz/units) or larger units (rhino/razorback/heavy warbeasts)?

Quite honestly, if you are looking at sabol, i would strongly suggest battlefoam...
I have 3 BF 1750s, and every mini in them survived a move from Germany to the us in tact... and anyone who has had a house packed and moved by a 'professional' moving company knows how much stuff gets broken in their moves.

I have 3 KR multicase boxes. All of them are metal, the double, triple and the big huge six one. They're definitely worth getting cases from, their customer support staff is awsome and will help you every step of the way if you run into problems.

I've had 3 different kinds of cases.... Sabol, GW, and battlefoam...
what I've learned is this..., GW cases are ok for starting out... but don't hold much...
Sabol holds more, but the pluck foam is annoying and falls appart in the long run...
Battlefoam is great, holds a lot of models, is not pluck foam so it doesn't fall appart... BUT costs an arm and a leg...
If money is not an issue, battle foam is good... if you don't have many models, GW is more than enough... if you have a bunch and don't mind the frustration of pluck foam disinintigration... sabol is fine
(I personally like my battle foam!)

KR every time. The products are great, relatively cheap and do the job perfectly plus the guys at KR are incredibly nice and helpful. Best customer service I've ever experienced.

I don't find KR's foam to be protective enough. It's soft and squishy. There's no resistance to speak of.
While this is good for your models while THEY push against it, it's bad for them when outside forces are pushing inwards.
If you can't/won't go with Battlefoam and only want to go with the choices laid out here, then I say "Sabol." A little dab of superglue where the pluck pieces meet will put them back together for good if you ever happen to cause a couple of the pluck pieces to come apart.

I would say for an army that size, Money not an issue: Custom Battlefoam bag perfectly designed for them, that's the big reason why I like them. Money is an issue: KR or Sabol, I only have Sabol at the moment and they do the job well... but the KR cases I have seen have been good quality and the soft foam doesn't matter with the hard cases. Overall, I still feel battlefoam is king... but living in Australia means you pay a HUGE shipping price for that royalty. I imagine in Canada that's not as big a deal.

I bought a KR case first, then bought a BF 432 case. I've found the BF to be miles better, but you also pay for it.
I'm very pleased with my BF case, I'd recommend it if you have the extra dollars.

You dont need a case, just buy the foam and put it in a backpack or something.
Sabol is great.
IMO battlefoam is overpriced by ALOT.
150$ cheaper than battlefoam and works great.

KR is great, nice and cheap. I don't like spending too much on transport for my models, so the card KR cases work great for me.

So after all that I wound up going with BattleFoam, mainly because I found a seller in the same province that sold it for less that the actual BF site (140 for Pluck Foam 720). Since it was local, the expensive 50$ shipping was replaced by 150$ for the pack and delivery, essentially negating BattleFoam's one weakness, price.
The case is really good quality and just one 3-inch tray holds 4 rhinos, a land raider, and 2 predators. This means that the 720 is able to hold 4000 point of Dark Angels, and then a 35 point hordes army with extra room still left over.
I haven't actually carried it out of the house yet as I got it this afternoon, but the thing looks great and durable, and has less obvious war-gaming sendoffs so I doubt it will stand out.
Overall I'm happy with the purchase but it remains to be seen if it really is as durable as Romeo says.

Ya, when looking at KR I was surprised by how wide the foam selection was. But then I bought another persons collection and my needs went from a Kaiser 1, to a Kaiser 2/3.

After buying my first battlefoam bag. Battlefoam is all i will ever use again. it keeps the models safe and secure, durable cases so can can be shipped, (in case of moves or traveling with your army) Its worth the extra cost, trust me.
