Ok,
I don't mean to get anyone excited if this doesn't turn out to be true.
However, I do believe that I saw one of the staff at my local taking apart a Finecast Black Reach Deffkopta.
I'm sure many Ork players will be happy with this development, but this beggars the question: what Codex units need their own models to be created?
This could be made of any material, the unit can come from any Codex and you need to tell us what it should look like.
Sorry if this thread has been made before, but I just would like to know what people want in their codex.

Yes I know they should just look the same, oh wait not really as all the faces are blatently male, not asking for DD breasts and bikini lines here. Just female faces, maybe slight adjustments to the look of the figure, and the ability to tell at a glance there are females in the unit.

GK have it pretty well right now for minis. I think we could do with filling in other ranges first. What minis from their codex do you need models for? (Other than henchmen which are specifically made to be a kitbash unit.) That doesn't even make any sense.
Why would they switch something from plastic to Finecast? a BR Deffkopta is a sprue model for injection casting. Finecast is spincast. They'd have to completely redo the model and molds to do it. I think your eyes deceived you.

Oh i know the fun to be had with henchman, and I'm in no dire need, just even though Mordraks are better than even GW can do some iv seen, models like Thawn would be nice. As i said, the knights are beautiful models, but because nearly everything is from either the terminator box, or the strike squad box, I'm loath to cut them up, simply because (to me at least) theirs not a whole lot of visual difference beyond colours.
...Well that and more inquisitors....especialy a female one that doesnt induce nightmares and is newbie converter friendly (so probably along with the above female IG thing)

I know it's probably false, but all I know is that I saw a Deffkopta with really pale plastic, and it was an AoBR one...

Generic plastic character box for every army.
Plastic Captain/Chapter Master with TDA option and majority of legal upgrades.
Plastic GKGM/Librarian/Brother Captain with upgrades.
Plastic every other generic HQ choice with complete set of options.
Eldar need a complete resculpt of their entire range, although I suspect it will happen with the update just like it did with Dark Eldar.
Anything that comes in a box of 5+ and is currently Finecast needs to swap to plastic. Finecast should be reserved for characters and super elite units.

I would only care if they are Kasrkin, and only then because I could clip off the hellgun wire and call them grenadier vets. I personally find regular storm troopers ugly, as in I would rather do a crapload of work converting than buy them ugly.

I think most of the updates should be for either IG or SoB.
They should at least be able to make it possible to by boxes
of SoB on a shelf in a store...(ot that I'd start an SoB army, just
want to face them more as I only know one person who
actually has an SoB army)

Stormtroopers, ratlings, ogryns, finecast Marbo/ Al'raheim...

I know! Maybe GW could redo the codexes like they are doing for fantasy.
Although they'd probably raise the cost (  ) and make it hardcover,
it might have more rules for the specific Guard regiments.
