Wazdakka Red is SUPER bright and a more scarlet color...

Now I have no idea what to do my Word Bearers with =( I do my word bearers a dark / rich maroon color, leaning more on the red... so Khorne Red, okay...THEN what...?

Try Vallejo 72011 "Gory Red."

The following colours should all prove to be excellent alternatives (and should be essentially "perfect" matches):

Vallejo Game Color "Gory Red" - 72011
Vallejo Model Color "Cavalry Brown" - 982
Tamiya "Hull Red"
Reaper Master Series "Carnage Red"

I use gory red - np there and it's a nice dark red. The same color as red gore.

Or I could use the rest of my pot of Red Gore and stop being such a troll XD Lol. But I just wanted to put my opinion out there that Wazdakka Red being comparable to Red Gore is a joke. Khorne Red is closer... because it's basically Scab Red XD I would like to let it be known that I am 100% for the new paints - I'm just pissed about there being a lack of a more subdued red like Red Gore. You've got a gorgeous maroon color (Scab Red), and a great bright red (Mephiston Red), and then you get into blazing scarlet/orange w/ no inbetweens =(

As a side note, I'm painting my Khorne Berzerkers using the new paints exclusively, and they are turning out decently. Do not listen to the nay sayers - the new Citadel Glazes are actually pretty good. I get a somewhat-comparable result after applying a wash-like application of the glazes as maybe 10 layers of glazing with an ink.

My Khorne Berzerker with 2 layers of the Bloodletter "glaze" produces a color somewhere inbetween Scab Red and Red Gore (but not gore-y enough to be my new scheme for Word Bearers).

As a side note, do you think Word Bearers will be the new poster boys for Chaos on the new edition starter box? I certainly hope not. I would imagine that the simplicity of The Black Legion would ensure that they continue being the poster boys of chaos.

Wordbearers won't be because of the lack of marked deamons in the Chaos book and GW won't want to waste money on a generic daemon unit.
