I just finished the flyrant. Everything is magnetized even his waist & head. This way i can run the Lord if i need to or just a normal Tyrant.

To save some people time you need about 12 magnets for each wing. They are so long and heavy at the ends that getting them to stay put was a task. Also, I bored two holes in the torso sa well as two holes in the wing(s). Then insert 3 mags into each hole.

The Tervigon is also magnetized so you don't have to run him with claws. He was much easier to magnetize, and only took about 4 magnets for each arm, with just 1 bore out on the torso as well as the appendage.

Still need to do 2 more trygons, 2 tervigons and about 80 gaunts. Please lord give me strength.

Thank you! Yeah I haven't broke down and gotten a good airbrush yet. I don't have the 400$ for one. I would rather hand paint the rest of my nids before i drop that kind of cash on another toy

I like the hard contrast and comic style painting (if I may put it like that). ^^
I agree with battlemat on some pics with a neutral back ground, it would look even better.

Wow, when I initially looked at the pictures (especially the 2nd one), I thought I was looking at a drawing instead of a model. I haven't seen this style of painting to this extreme very often, but you did a wonderful job. They look like they are straight out of a manga.

Wow, that looks amazing. Don't suppose you have a whole army painted like this, do you?

Thank you all, I'm happy to share the fruits of my labor. I apologize for not posting additional photos last night as I forgot. I will try to remember tonight.

I have half an army painted and the other half still to be painted and assembled. I needed a break after painting the two mc's and I have three more mc's to go. I will post pics of what I have competed though.

If you want to see my side project please check my gallery and Post lots of feedback.

Thank you all again and cheers!

Wow they look amazing. I really like the effect on the Flyrant's swords and claws. What colors did you use to layer it?
