So, the idea is to shoot up the enemy after I close under the Night Fighting. I know the scoring units are flimsy, but if I can strand dedicated combat units and disable anti-tank units, I should be able to just weigh them down with volume of fire. A HoD goes with each Ark, meaning a pair of S8 nastiness, along with all the Gauss guns at my disposal.
Thoughts?

My knowledge on Necrons is quite limited, but for the amount of firepower and durability you get with a 90 pt A Barge there is no reason not to take 3 of them unless you want to farm. Your firepower is still not that impressive in my opinion. 8 lances, 2 stalkers, and 2 A barges is just meh especially when you don't have any other immediate threats. This is why people take wraiths. Stalkers are good too, but you need to find room to maximise firepower around them.

Don't forget the Gauss weaponry across the units and transports. I didn't have the points for that last AB, but I wanted one. Might be able to toss the Stalkers for another troops unit and an AB.

Revised the list: HQ: Overlord Warscythe, Weave (or MSS) [115] Catacomb Command Barge Gauss Cannon [80] (4) Royal Court 4x Harbinger of Destruction, 1x Solar Pulse [160] Overlord Warscythe, Weave (or MSS) [115] Catacomb Command Barge Gauss Cannon [80] (4) Royal Court 4x Harbinger of Destruction, 1x Solar Pulse [160] Elites: Triarch Stalker [150] Triarch Stalker [150] Troops: (5) Necron Warriors Ghost Ark [180] (5) Necron Warriors Ghost Ark [180] (5) Necron Warriors Ghost Ark [180] (5) Necron Warriors Ghost Ark [180] Heavy: Annihilation Barge Gauss Cannon [90] Annihilation Barge Gauss Cannon [90] Annihilation Barge Gauss Cannon [90] [2000] Pretty much min/max'd to the highest degree. Weave can be MSS, if that proves better. Otherwise, its pretty horrifying. Eleven AV13 vehicles at 2000pt is a lot of armor to deal with. Even Psyfleman need 5's to glance, which means 6's to knock off the QS, which also means that Living Metal is solid gold for keeping my stuff from being stun-locked. A pair of Eldritch Lances per Ark is gross, opening up lighter armor for the Gauss weaponry to unload. The Stalkers can close in with Night Fight and bust AV14 stuff or drop a template and help me TL the rest of my shooting. The AB's offer some solid firepower and the CCB's will sweep across stuff with S7 power weapon attacks (+2d6 vs vehicles). Should be reasonably disgusting, even if it isn't the typical Imotekh or Scarab Farm list. In fact, I think it may wind up being more versatile, as the only seriously weak component would be the troops, which could be knocked out swiftly by a savvy opponent and/or bad deployment/terrain. Thoughts?

Ghost Arks add more AV13 to the table. Wraiths are an assault unit, which isn't a bad idea. Putting them near the back area to counter-charge units closing with my objectives. Still, it would fundamentally change the list and it seems slim as is. Maybe at 2500pt, it could add in a few units of Wraiths, but as is I can't think of anything to cut that won't de-saturate the board and make target priority more of a no-brainer than it already is.

Not to mention that if you deploy the ghost arks in a *insert shape here* formation, so that they have over-lapping fire, thats ALOT of gauss to deal with...

Also, if all else fails, I can throw the Stalker shot on a unit that needs to die and TL all of my Gauss firepower too. Something like Thundernators comes to mind for that. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, anyone who knows a bit more on the tactics - would it be somewhat prudent to leave those Warriors in Reserve at least some of the time (given the opponent doesn't have a way to engage them, with things like Wolf Scouts, etc).
