Love the tut and paint jobs, but don't the eyes need to be painted too?

With IG having the potential to play as a horde army I'd say no. The eyes on the models are ridiculosly small, don't really add much, and you'll drive yourself crazy trying to fill in 90+ guys eyes (in a small army).

You are both correct . Eyes should be painted and we are going to do them but its not necessary in 100+ models just for table top effect (and it really takes too much time to make those eyes good). In tutorial we wanted to show quite fast and simple way to paint those guys, no highlights, NMM, OSL - just airbrush + basic colours + wash.

One of the center models in the picture has his eyes painted, with the iris painted too! Hard to see, though.

This tutorial would have save me hour of work, if only I had know

Gaurdsmen dont need eyes! they are bred to fight and die!

Oh god, already started painting my army with a more complex color scheme. If only I had know before. If only...

I found most of the guys seem to be squinting almost so eyes is just way too difficult. at least that is my excuse.

Now I just need an airbrush...anyone know of a cheap but good one I could pick up? Ive got a ton of guardsmen to do
