You can keep it. Some places have a culture of "Throw it back!" if it was a home run hit by the other team.

But that is really just the Cubs, and maybe 1 or two other teams that have a culture of "Throw it back!" if it was a home run hit by the other team, and no one really cares about the Cubs anyway.

It's awfully high quality and zoomed in to be video. I don't think they're shooting baseball with the amazing cameras that the NFL is using these days.

I'm guessing it was a very quick photographer.

I love the expression on the (Asian?) guy wearing the sunglasses right behind the cameraman. He's not even trying to catch the ball, he's just so excited that he's getting so close to the action.

I want to know what that woman is saying. The way she is postured I instantly heard you shouting "BALL!!!!!" and then started to laugh.

Baseball: If you catch it, it's yours. Balls are recycled rather often. 60-70 are used during a game.
American Football: The NFL requires all balls to be returned (unless a player throws one into the stands, in which case the player is charged for the ball, about $90). The AFL (arena football league) lets fans keep the balls.
Basketball: Fans must return balls.
Hockey: Pucks that go into the stands belong to the fan that gets them.

Slight addendum to this:
American Football: The fan is given a non-game ball as a replacement (usually this is by the team whose stadium the game is being playing in).

And in rugby, the ball must be returned to play. Though I am not sure about a ball that goes into touch ending the match.

This is largely because individual quarterbacks have specific preferences when it comes to game balls.
