Never paint minis when your bored and drunk.....

Requesting photographic evidence, though I know I will regret it.

I've seen some claimed drunk painting that looks better than what they could do when sober though.

I know every time I painted loaded late at night I woke up the next morning yelling at my self like a dog that made a doodie on the carpet.

Better than going for a joyride.

ive always tried painting when im drunk but id rather play video games... like destroy my Kill death ratio in MW3 which id spend all week trying to bring up to at least a positive 1 kill

I don't know about painting, but a few times I did raids in WoW drunk. Easily the best time I've ever had while gaming. Highly recommended.

Side note: lol at topping dps meters while drunk, granted my repair bill was massive.

No pic and i didn't make the first stroke on my iron warrior, I just had difficulty to open my paint without making a mess.

Forget about painting while drunk, don't try and glue a LR while drunk. You wake up at your desk with more of the tank attached to your hands than anything.

I'll sip on a beer while painting, especially on a Sunday afternoon. I do tend to avoid doing any edge highlighting and try and time doing base layers etc.

Beer and painting eyes is a strict NO!

it's all about moderation for me. I often have a beer or glass of wine on my table while I paint (far, far away from the water pot!), but I'm never consuming enough to affect how steady my hand is (or isn't). I'm way too OCD to attempt painting when I'm hammered... even through a deep alcohol haze, I know I'd want to murder myself the next day :p

I smell a contest coming... A dakkaDrunka Painting comp. That would be great. Who is the best drunk painter in all of the dakka verse. Personally i get to bored with painting sober, If i did it while i was drunk i would want to start a new army and forget about the one i am painting. Sad times.

LMAO my buddy would do that a lot. Fun for him but everyone else hated it.

the trick to dealing with drunk people is to not be sober yourself :p

Hmm, muscle relaxants are also a doozy. It's fun painting and working on a few models until the relaxant kicks in...

I miss my morphine... oddly enough I'm more productive with modelling and painting when I'm on it. /calldoctortorefill

I do find having a Beer or Gin & tonic relaxes me before detailed work, when getting the shakes might prove disasterous. Never more than 2 at most as your painting will take a dive.

Best work I have ever done is at My Parents place in greece, on a Terrace in the sun, bottle of beer and 80 degrees plus. Maybe because the paint dries so quickly?

One or two drinks it's ok, but a bottle of wine is a little too much for me....
