This is not a new art form, but there are lots of people becoming masters of the craft. I'm not sure how many of you have seen this type of art, since you seem to have never heard of the music driving the scene, but I figure if my mother likes it, anyone should.

This is just one artist, there are tons I could post, and will come back to, but this one in particular is my favorite.

Can't say I'm a fan. They're a little gaudy for my taste.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

I think if I gave the Mrs this she would use them to punch my lights out take my credit card and buy herself something from De Beers or Boodles to get over the destrss of being given something like that.

On the plus side atleast its not gold, then I'd really be for it!

I kinda like the look of them, but I know absolutely feth all about jewelry, I wouldnt even wear a ring or a chain. And dont even start me on men with earings.

They look nice.. well designed. I don't know if a bird would look a bit mucky wearing them though!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Small bit of advice then.

Do the Mrs a favour and stick to cash, flowers, chocies and sex as presents. The relationship should last longer that way.

The only one I really like is the necklace with the purple stone...the others just seem to random and tacky. I will say that it's a good start, and I'd like to see future pieces.

I can completely understand why, but the lack of any real precious materials in the jewelry makes it come across a bit like gaudy costume baubles.

That's not to say that this stuff is cheap, because I saw a fairly large tourmaline and a lot of silver, but there's also a fair amount of brass (either that or they perfected a way to make yellow gold look like brass) and zircon/other synthetic crystals. To do these pieces 'right' they'd have price tags that I'd guess would be up in the mid-tens of thousands.

#1 was the piece I liked most and #2 was also decent simply because they looked like something that could be a house insignia in any SF setting.

Wraps (2nd to last piece, last piece has incorporation) were kinda neat and trendy five years ago but since then so many people have started doing it that, unless exceptionally well done, they've become the Lisa Frank equivalent of hippy jewelry.

They have character along the lines of this I think. I am a huge comic fan, that being said I would buy something of this nature. I do not wear jewelry though! I would make an acceptation for the Infinity Gauntlet though.

That double ring (seriously, what the feth?) would look better as a pendant or necklace on a chick.

Otherwise, I'm not a fan. But to each his/her own.
