Love it! Things are getting very gritty indeed.

And blackjack, I still have some Histans due to winding up the windows and leaving. So who knows, maybe they'll crop up with House Fairfax in 2.

I'd like to point out my favorite scene is the chain kill, of X faction kills Y, then is impaled by Z, only for Q to finish him off. Brilliant Smudge, just brilliant. I'm worried about Archarus getting into the fight. For the Imperials, that is.

And BC, I didn't have any real plans for your refugees, so it'd be cool to see them in CoF 2.

And I'm happy to see my Histans will get more screentime. I'm excited for this, Smudge.

Is it too late to request that Julius gets to throttle the life out of the Scions who called an artillery strike on his head? Pretty please?

Seriously though,, I wasn't really going to try and force Smudge to let me go after the Scions. It was more of a grump fest (coming home from a long day of college and then writing some essays only to see that my guys are being friendly fired on purpose is just a tiny bit irritating)

Now now, I'm sure Julius will crawl out of a crater, and do a heroic charge into the bastion of Archarus, and have a noble death. That is going off the assumption that he dies of course. Or he's little splatters of blood right now. Depends on what Smudge has a fancy for.

I'm glad the Death Ravens did some actual heroic things for once, although Ajuran still managed to faff about long enough to almost get himself killed

(I'm also kind of glad Ajuran didn't utter his Chapter's official warcry, namely 'Rejoice, the Hour is nigh', because I've come to realize that that isn't exactly the thing you want to hear when you're in a losing battle )

Colonel Detta could step up to bat, WK. He does have a reputation for defending friends and allies to keep.

The last time anyone in the Guard stood up to Gallus they got shot. Don't know if I want your Histans in the line of fire.

It's what my Histans are there for. We rammed a necron ship for Fairfax. What's one soldier to that?

I just hope that SOMEONE can get Gallus back for dropping shells on our heads. At this point I don't care if it's Julius, Detta, Ajuran, or some random Ork.

I was aware of it, so I suppose I should be suggesting someone does it for Detta. Also Smudge, as you know I want my named Histans to not die, but that doesn't mean they can't be untouched. Fake limbs are completely acceptable. Although I'm expecting a lot of characters will need lots of augmentations after the shelling stops.

The augmentation and prosthetics industry rejoices!

As the Remnants are absent from this part, I suppose their little 'action' is going to take place in the next part?

Absolutely correct, although you could say that they're already present...
