Graphically it's about 2 years behind and the 'run and gun' gameplay has been done to death recently......

Also, fade-to-black cuts will always piss me off since reading Kilkrazy's description of them making him feel that someone was punching him repeatedly in the brain.
Ummm off the top of my head: Goldeneye 64, Aladdin (16-bit versions), Robocop and Batman on the Atari ST, Alien 3 on the SNES, Moonwalker on the MD (really!). So there we go, not always terrible, there are a few good examples out of the hundreds that have been released.

I'd also throw Mission: Impossible for the N64 in there as well, personally. Not a half-bad movie game, imo.
Still, note that the latest console on that list is the N64, and we're moving into three generations past it at this point with the Wii U. Then look at modern movie tie-ins, like G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Hulk games, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man...if not outright horrible, at the very most they were mediocre. And that's all I can think of off the top of my head. There's a whole slew of Harry Potter video games that to my knowledge weren't great (I recall at least one of them outright making up spells that never once appeared in the books, or were even mentioned...I think Chamber of Secrets had a whole puzzle element based on clearing out ectoplasm or something )
Honestly, if this is a movie tie-in, I'm just happy to see that there's a sequel to the latest movie. I, for one, enjoyed it.
