Just wondering about this possibility. What would happen if the Gellar Fields protecting the infant Primarchs did not malfunction or get tampered with.

I would imagine that the Imperium would be vastly different. First off, very little to no chance of a Heresy-style event. The Primarchs would all grow up on Terra, under the guidance of the Emperor and possibly Malcador to some extent. The legions would be fully developed and primed for the Great Crusade, which would might go better than in the canon.

I'm thinking a more, the bigger they are the harder they fall event, I mean this way, no body knows about the warp... and so there's a bigger build up before someone figures it out and someone backstabs someone or someone does something.

Or everything is happy and awesome and SM's kill every known heresy/abomination/xenos known... of course that would be dumb and boring... It's not the same without the orks

Wondering Why the Emperor Left

After hearing about the fate of the Thunder warriors I wonder if the Emporer was planning on betraying the Astartes all along. Part of me even wonder if their was some sort of pact between empy and chaos were he would get to be a god and they would get constant war and bloodshed. I think all that happened might be just as planned.

Nope, the emperor re designed the thunder warriors into astartes. The thunder warriors were equivelent to apes with rage and a gun. The astartes were designed to be something the human race could look upon with pride and amazement. In fact in one book i read the emperor even built a hotel basically on terra for his primarches

Its possible that they would have been more streamlined. Scattered primarchs where good. gave more variation on them. which means for the imperium.
