I'm looking for the best piece of Bolter Porn out there. Millions of Bolter rounds flying, seemingly insurmountable odds, heroic sacrifices and untold numbers of fatalities are a must. Character development, intrigue, stealth and suspense need only be background noise to the sound of fierce and brutal combat.
So I thought I'd come to Dakka for recommendations. What is the best Bolter porn novel out there today?

The first book I read was about the Ultras versus Tyranids. That was a pretty good book. There was that Armaggedon book about the BT dread. I really enjoyed that one as well. (I have a thing for dreads that may slant my view lol)

I really REALLY have to disagree. Gildar Rift fleshed out a lot of characters. I am reading Legion of the Damned right now. Half way through and there has been ZERO bolter porn. The quality of story telling I think has gone up exponentially over the years.

Yeah never liked that book, it didn't make any sense. Space Marine Scouts squad board titan eats the Princeps guys brains then pilot a titan, and kill 5 other titans with a shot TO THE FACE. Then everyone sit around and say "WTF happened there?" Not one member of the Imperial Fists seemed to think this whole escapade deserved serious investigation or an Award. I'm not even going to start on the Space Marine captain Torso (flesh tearer) they found encased in concrete and had a chat with.....Total FUBAR book. It was like C.S Goto if he had a crystal meth habit.

The three IG books in "Hammer of the Emperor" are pretty bolter-porn centric. Well, flashlight -po... er... you get the idea.
"The Purging of Kallidus", with the Dark Angels is also ded killy. As is "Fall of Damnos". Actually, I want to re-read the latter. It's so killy even the smurfs get knocked silly.
