I personally am glad that people are starting to get to this content they are putting on the disks and charging for them later.

I know that they actively cut out content to sell as dlc later but don’t be so in your face about it. Like Dragon age numero uno, walking up to a npc and getting told by that npc to buy the dlc that will allow you to go on the npc’s quest.

Yes, and that is kind of bull-gak, if you ask me. Though Dragon Age at least gave it to you for free for buying a new copy.

Shale came free if you bought the game New. When you met the person he just handed you the Control Rod, but you couldn't continue unless you either bought the game new and got it free, or payed for the Village of Honnleath expansion.

The rest of them didn't but that one did.

What did they expect?
It's like giving everyone who buys the game a safe and unlimited attempts to open the safe.

Oh, that's right, forgive me. Completely forgot about that one, which is odd because I loved getting more Blood Powers for my Apostate.

Too bad so sad capcom. I'm sure they'll get their lost revenue back by remaking the game 15 times, each time adding a minimum amount of content.

Also, the devs behind Blazblue did this. I noticed a third version of the same game at a game retailer a couple days ago. Another company added to the blacklist.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Have to say that I think a lot of DLC adds very little to a game for quite a bit of cash (in many cases). The steep buy-new price, increasing use of "online codes" (which you only get one of with the game new, so if there are two of you in the house that play you need to shell out even more...), and poor value DLC really doesn't encourage me to be very supportive of companies who add DLC to the fricking disc that you then have to pay to unlock.

There is ripping people off (most DLC), and there is taking the absolute wizz (this particular DLC).

Just pointing out: it was free for the Collector's Edition. That's what a lot of this "first day DLC" is. Collector's Edition content.
