So with Dakka Detachment 3 and others filling the halls at Adepticon, I figured this would be a great opportunity to post all the news and rumors that we are gathering throughout the weekend.

Trough the grapevine it sounds like a couple of folks were able to shoot the breeze with the Forgeworld guys (and gal) dring the setup and overheard that a Warlord Titan may be in the works. No mention of the plans for the model or any words on the rules, but at least it is something.

Lots of juicy rumors, so I will keep my eyes and ears open.

Tried to get some Alpha Legion rumors from the Black Library round-table tonight, but other than "they are getting involved everywhere" I didn't get a whole lot of answers.

I did hear that the Forgeworld team was talking about a (quoted) "knight titan" in the works.

I was talking to romeo and showing off the bag in my avatar, and he mentioned making an army carrier just for guys like me.

They're thinking of calling it, the manpack, or the packman.

Anyways though, some new imperial titans would be welcomed. Especially big ones

I would love to see some knight titans striding the battlefield! I dunno about a warlord. The damn thing would be so expensive.

I'd agree, apart from the bit where Knights aren't actually Titans

In the current setting, you could argue that they're a larger, sealed, version of a Nemesis Dreadknight, though obviously the Knights Paladin (etc) came first...

Salute and Adepticon at one weekend, and this is all news we get?

Well, here at least some pics by Tabletop Gaming News:

Not sure if there is ANY serious information in the Salute and Adepticon reporting by BoW:

I'm not sure if these were just announced at Adepticon, but they are certainly in those FB pictures. At any rate these a fething awesome and I want them.

Abandoned for centuries, these industrial machines have achieved sentience in the darkness and are now venturing onto the wastelands. Enigmatic, adaptive, and sometimes malevolent, what can only be described as a new species is tentatively stretching its wings. Pathfinders, Menial Bots and the Rend have emerged to study the other remnants of Samaria; a curiosity often fatal for the subjects!

Dark Age Games is proud to announce their sixth faction to the game! In the upcoming months we will spoil you with Sneak Peeks of the upcoming faction as well as design articles and exciting new fiction. The Gallery will be updated with new pictures as the months progress as well. Check back often and be sure to visit our Facebook page for frequent updates.

Alpharius put you up to that one, didn't he?

Or it might actually be because they are planning on an Adeptus Mechanicus faction for one of their books, and Knights(a "lesser cousin of Titans" as they put it) would feature.

I was talking about the specific phrasing. Cause Lorek(DD2) is hanging with Alpharius(DD3) this weekend.

And they both know I want to be there.

No Warlord in the works. I interviewed Paul Mooney and Steve Morries from Forgeworld (videos will be on our site tomorrow) and both confirmed a Warlord is NOT in the works.

Watch the Live feed and videos on our site http://apocalypse40k.blogspot.com

Videos should be up tomorrow.

In the time it took you to click "post reply" and type your response and then "submit", you could have clicked to the blog and read the content already. Heck it would have taken the same amount of time to use the quick reply because you still have to click the "submit" button, which could have been you clicking the link to the blog.

Quick Reply takes far less time than you think, first of all.

If you'll notice, the individual I replied to started a thread for the "Adepticon Results Day 1 - 40K Championship" right after his reply here.

It is really nothing but a glorified link to his blog.

He wants to plug his blog? Fine. But at least class it up a little man.
He could post a small summary, and end with "But check out my blog for more information!".

I was thinking the same thing.

Therion Golgoth of some type. I could abide that being a Baal Golgoth, no prob and would have preferred if it looked like that.

Tell you what, when you spend about $ 2,000 of your own money to fly yourself and your buddy out to Adepticon to webcast it live for everyone for free, interview a couple dozen people, and report on the results, you can whine. Until then I don't really give a damn. I am sitting in the hall trying to get as much info as possible. End of a long day and I am tired and really don't want to hear someone whine about not wanting to click on my blog link.

Really? The "You can't criticize me until you do it yourself!" argument?

I think I know what site I can safely avoid.

Nope. Talked to the main guy from Forgeworld just now and he said point blank that a Knight Titan is NOT on the list of things to do. They have discussed it, but they discuss a lot of things. If it isn't on the list, it won't happen.

You happy Kanluwen? That is the second piece of information I posted here about Forgeworld. So maybe you can stop whining about having to click a link to my blog to get the 40K results. And please do avoid my site. It isn't meant for people who suck the fun out of the hobby.

Agree 100%. I come to dakka to read content on dakka not empty threads containing only links which IMO are no better than +1 posts in terms of actual content contained in the post. Kudos to you for going through the effort, linear, in collecting and posting the info but I don't think that its too much to ask for you to simply put some/any substance to thread you create instead of just posting a link. Maybe simpy post the top 4 armies in the dakka thread with a short description and then post the link to the other dozen...
