Is anyone else disappointed to see no process cyan or magenta hues in the range?
These, along with yellow, are the primary colours of pigment. (No, not red and blue - look inside your printer. CY=G, CM=B, MY=R)
Now, there may not be a queue round the block of hobbyists wanting to stab their enemies' eyes out with garish Cyanmarines, and Slaaneshi armies tend to be a bit more subtle than pure magenta. But if you're trying to take one of the (lovely) purple tones in the range, and tint it just a bit away from blue, you can't do it without contaminating your colour with yellow or white.
Seriously, this is an important omission. Try to mix a range of vivid purples and greens with RYB primaries. Your purples will be murky, your greens dark. Then go to an art shop and get some process cyan and magenta to muck around with. Your OSL technique will thank you for it!
Colour wheel showing the colours you get from mixing two primaries; CMY mixes omitted.

Umm, most of the time army painters try to mix as little as possible, and as you pointed out, most people don't like to play cyan or magenta marines. If I wanted to lighten up a purple and tinge it a bit towards red, I'd probably use a pink, since they have a few now.
However, for those who do like to mix colours and have been shaking their fist at GW's tyranny in not providing such pigments, fear not, for your salvation comes in the form of Vallejo's Model Color range.
That's Vallejo's Mangenta Fluo. There's also a Magenta, though that's a little less dayglo, and the Azure Sky Blue might be a decent match for Cyan, if GW's Lothern Blue isn't doing it for you.

Which is somewhat annoying considering Cyan can actually help when doing OSL in blue. Though it's not like they didn't have holes in their range before the swap over, just a few new ones.
Though I do wonder how they will paint the Swooping Hawks now they discontinued their signature colour without a replacement. I'm not quite seeing it in that chart, but what would be the closest to Hawk Turquoise in that range anyway? 69 turquoise or 70 blue-green?

"Temple Guard Blue" is Hawk Turquoise, for all intents and purposes.

The mistake Citadel made with their new paints is not matching their old ones.
I've bought many a bottle of Snakebite Leather, Dark Flesh, and other such specific tones because I couldn't match them with the cheaper hobby paints I've been buying (under $2 for 2 oz vs. $3.50 for .4 oz is a big persuader). Now... since the new colors don't match the old ones anyway there's no reason at all for me to buy the new GW paints.

I don't know if "prewatered down" is the right term, but they do go on thinner than the older paints.

I see no real GW hate in this thread before your mention of it, which will invariantly redirect the thread towards it as normal.

I've been working on Space Wolves with the new paints and the match is really good to my older models, so no complaints from me beyond the tiny little "I wish we still had the widgets that hold the bottle open" whine.

Aha! Vallejo's Game Colour range has a Falcon Turquoise which is exactly the same as GW's old Hawk Turquoise colour..

At the risk of sounding fanboy-ish, I'm liking the new range. There are some things missing or not quite the same, but it's pretty doggone expansive and covers about 90% of what I need to (futilely) try and catch up my painting to my collecting.

I think the key is if you start a new model/paintscheme, and don't have to match old ones, you're darn swell. If you just ran out of that infinitesimally important color (like sunburst yellow for my Imperial Fists), you might be hard pressed to exactly match your paint scheme for new models.
I however would very much like the opportunity to paint an entirely new army with the new paints, as I bet it would work very well. I am wondering if the drybrush paints will dry properly like regular paint drybrushed, though. It must for me, as i layer drybrushing/washes a lot.
