Hello! Havent been posting on dakka for quite a while now. But since im painting up my force for FLGS gaming i decided to update my pics with ones taking in a "studio". Im also building the rest of my force so await updates.

Now dakka is killing the quality so i post a photobucket comparison.

Really like those models; especially the sentinel and especially the sentinel's base!

Very nicely painted - love the kind of dusty finish the vehicles have. Don't suppose you have a tutorial tucked away somewhere for them?

Also, the base on the steninel is awesome

One of the nicest looking Sentinels i've seen, not too much of anything, just enough of everything.
And I really like the base- a simple yet extremely effective way of showing off the versatility of the kit.

Thank you, but no tutorial. But it is quite simple. Simply Codex and Fortress grey airbrushed colour modulation style, chardonite scratching and chips by using a sponge and paint brush. Some chips and scratches have bolgun metal in them for deeper damage.
Black oil wash and pin wash, more or less.

Thank you, my goal is make it as realistic as possible while keeping it simple, keeping the 40k feeling without getting to close to the scale modeling crowd.

Absolutely gorgeous work! The modulated grey works beautifully on the armor and the Sentinel's base is incredibly characterful, without overshadowing the model.

That sentinels base is kind of awesome.

Thank you, and yes i did, some filler a bit of plastruct tile flooring and beams plus a few cables and flock with small pebbles and thats what you get.
