Anyone use them here? I need some good tactics on using one in a 1.5k army. Thanks!

Are you talking about the Forge World model? Or the BA one?

They have a pretty high point cost, but combined with a Lucius pattern drop-pod can be a great threat. I have proxied them before in high point games and enjoyed some success with it. Great for tarpitting small squads in CC.

As a side-note there's an ultramarine Chaplain Dreadnought (Titus I think) in the Badab War book that gives a 12" fearless bubble to squads around him.

There aren't any Ultramarines in the Badab War books. You're thinking of Bray'arth Ashmantle - Salamanders.

His fearless bubble is nice, but he costs as much as a Land raider. He ignores extra dice, which will keep him alive longer, but he's a huge point sink.

The only time I've run a Chaplain Dreadnought was in an Apoc game. He lasted a while and blasted some terminators with his plasma cannon. In the end, he took a lascannon to the face and died.

I might be thinking of one of the older books. Bray'Arth does not provide the fearless bubble.
It was definitely an Ultramarine Venerable Dreadnought, I believe the name was brother Titus or something.
I do love Bray'Arth though!

Yes, you are right. But it was an Ultramarines Successor "Howling Griffons", Titus.
