Hey guys. I reaaaaally want to convert some new warp spiders, but I'm running into trouble with parts, specifically the backpacks. These days it's really hard to find pieces of metal (or finecast) models. I can't even get just the Exarch model from stores or GW anymore...I'd have to buy a $30 box for a single piece. Which isn't happening. If I could find just the exarch a few times I would consider buying several just for the backpacks, but not the whole box. It looks like my best bets are to: bide my time and pick up the odd exarch on ebay or something when they're available for a decent price OR: scratch build my own with I guess green stuff which I'm not very good at.

I'm looking for any ideas to try that aren't stupid expensive or super work intensive. Please help, I just want to make some models! :(

Ive heard that instant mold is good for this sort of thing. Buy a pack of instamold and go nuts making all the Warp Spider backpacks you want. Bonus is they are cheap as chips and reuseable.

Sounds about right! A mold or ebay! I use ebay loads, it's a treasure trove for Warhammer, you've just gotta look every day!

So use instamold and green stuff? That could work, they're not very detailed parts really...thanks guys! I might try that out.

Works wonderfully. Used it for a few lashwhips, ML, and custom bases.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
